LAST CALL!

Heart's Delight Cards, Stitched All Around, Petal Promenade, Stampin' Up!

Today is the final day for the Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper deal! I made a quick card this morning to show off the beautiful Petal Promenade DSP, which is a part of the deal!

Seriously, I think this card took all of ten minutes to put together. A 2" x 5-1/2" strip of DSP was matted on two narrow strips of gold foil and then added adhered to the Subtle embossed background on the card base.

I already had the greeting stamped, so it was easy to die cut with the Stitched Shapes oval Framelit, and then layer it on the Stitched Labels fancy die cut with a strip of ribbon and gold cord between. BOOM! Done!

CAS Teacher Appreciation

Heart's Delight Cards, Hand Delivered, Stitched All Around, Thank You, Teacher Appreciation, Stampin' Up!

Having a daughter who teaches at a high school really makes me aware of everything they do in trying to educate our young people who will become tomorrow's leaders. (Tomorrow's leaders and tomorrow's voters. Sobering thought, isn't it?) More and more their hands are tied with interference and regulations (government and school board) and all the while they are having to make do with inadequate funding.

What price can we put on properly preparing our youth for the real world when they finish school? I am so grateful for the educators who truly try to make a difference in their students' lives, in spite of all the road blocks that are thrown in front of them. And I'm saddened when I read about the ones who quit in frustration because they aren't allowed to teach the kids in a way that they know will get through to them.

So, to the teachers who are out there on the front lines every day trying to make a difference, I say "Thank you" and tip my hat to you. And make a card in your honor after getting off my soap box. *grin*
