The video visualization on this channel consists of four components: (1) Thumbnail, which consists of texts and pictures, (2) Opening, location of the street food, (3) M ain contents: reviewing food and its texture, (4) Closing: delivering persuasive words about religious messages. The religious messages are delivered by saying a common statement "Borong Semua" (all of them) to share and participate in helping disadvantaged people. This statement has soon become famous and has inspired similar channels to do the same. The Hobby Makan channel has shown altruism and piety through philanthropic activities in its videos. As a YouTuber with more than 3 million subscribers, Hobby M akan has the power to influence people. Its videos have inspired another YouTuber to do the same. This study, therefore, aims at illustrating how fundraising innovation through electronic technology has been adapted to a current trend in millennial society. As a qualitative case study to analyze phenomena, a semiotic approach is applied to analyze the channel contents or message. As the result, the study shows an increasing approach and innovation in philanthropic activities in da'wah.

An author creative process includes the issue of why and how the author wrote the novel. Among the chicklit and Teenlit novelists there are similar supporting factors, namely talent, hobby, intelligence, and daily life experience around them. The Supporting factors are then combined with skills, methods and storytelling which spontaneous and honest.They never thought about storytelling techniques when writing a novel. Thus, the young chicklit and Teenlit novelists become successful and famous is not in a sudden and without a process. Nor because special facilities given by publisher or certain parties, but through hard work. Lot of terms and conditions that they can meet through their struggle.Thus, it can be concluded that the creative process of chicklit and Teenlit novelist is a blend of natural talent, hobby, intelligence, and life experience, supporting by intelligence, hard work, a wealth of experience, breadth of relationships, social sensitivity, the ability of storytelling and writing skills.

Our longitudinal case study investigates the emergence of an embryonic business from a hobby. As the hobby evolved to become an entrepreneurial venture, the dimensions of play and work engaged in a paradoxical tension that dynamically persisted, spiraling, as the business unfolded. The process of turning a hobby into a business progressively imbricated two opposing disciplines, those of play and work. As a result, inherent tensions between them have to be managed. Turning these tensions into a source of vitality to be nurtured, rather than framing the tension as a dichotomy to be solved, is seen to be vital to the continuation of the venture.

O processo de transformar um hobby em um negócio imbricou progressivamente duas disciplinas opostas, as de diversão e trabalho. Como resultado, as tensões inerentes entre elas precisam ser gerenciadas. Transformar essas tensões em uma fonte de vitalidade a ser nutrida, em vez de enquadrar a tensão como uma dicotomia a ser resolvida, é considerado vital para a continuidade do empreendimento. which 3440 were transferred to the EP (67.4%), 2958 of EP assessed callers (86.0%) had a family doctor, but only one-quarter of such patients could contact their family doctor. Overall, 2301/3440 "red" callers did not attend an ED (67.0%) compared to 2508/4770 in the control period (52.6%), for an absolute reduction of 14.4% (95% CI 12.2 to 16.4%, p < 0.0001). In callers for those <17 years old there was a 20.3% (95% CI 16.5 to 24.1%) reduction in ED visits compared to the control group: 771/1520 (50.7%) vs 364/1067 (30.4%). 40% of callers attending an ED (458/1139) were advised to try non-ED follow up by the MD and 108 (9.5%) were admitted, with no difference in 30-day mortality between groups. Age and CTAS distribution were similar between the two groups and the non MD-transferred cohort. Mean caller satisfaction was excellent (4.7/5.0). Conclusion: EP supplementation of a RN advice service has the potential to reduce ED visits by almost 15% while providing excellent safety and satisfaction.

Permainan tradisional lempar sendal merupakan salah satu bentuk permainan yang sederhana namun mengandung nilai-nilai budaya dan sosial yang penting. Permainan ini umumnya dimainkan oleh anak-anak di berbagai daerah di Indonesia dengan menggunakan sendal sebagai alat utama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis aspek-aspek permainan lempar sendal, baik dari segi aturan permainan, manfaat fisik dan sosial, serta dampaknya terhadap perkembangan sosial budaya masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dan observasi langsung terhadap pelaksanaan permainan di beberapa komunitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan ini tidak hanya memberikan manfaat dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik dan fisik anak-anak, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk mempererat hubungan sosial antar pemain. Selain itu, permainan ini memiliki nilai edukatif dalam mengajarkan kerjasama, disiplin, dan sportifitas. Meskipun terkesan sederhana, lempar sendal mampu bertahan sebagai bagian dari tradisi yang memperkaya warisan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman lebih dalam mengenai peran penting permainan tradisional dalam mempertahankan identitas budaya serta kontribusinya terhadap perkembangan sosial anak-anak.

The purpose-Romania has many resources for tourism development. The main focus of this paper is to provoke a debate about the opportunity of the culinary tourism development in Romania. Also, we intent to do an analysis regarding the premises for culinary tourism as niche in Romanian tourism. Design-During the past twenty years, Romania has issued various strategies/policies of development at national, regional, or local levels, but these, more or less, approached the development of the tourism sector as a whole. We open this paper from the question if in Romania, at the present moment, culinary tourism has the role that it really can have it, and if not, what solutions can we find to solve this? Method-The paper is the result of an empirical research, an exploratory study that includes literature review, meaning of seeking the good practices reported, and finally a SWOT analysis. Approach-Our paper attempts to outline the elements, which coordinate the Romanian tourism industry linked to this specific direction and also for future studies we intend to identify possibilities of development, namely culinary tourism based on application of some strong arguments consistent with local, regional and national characteristics. We chose this topic because we want to raise awareness of the stakeholders involved concerning developing this area, which we think can be transformed into a strategic direction of development. Findings-In Romania natural tourism resources are those which, over the years have been preserved in one form or another, untouched by human activities. These resources can be sold directly in tourism activity as "raw material" to create various tourism products. All this can be exploited, but we cannot compete with other countries that are more popular among tourists for the same kind of tourism. Judging all these we think it is normal to move towards a kind of tourism that we can differentiate and attract the interest of those who want to travel and have new experience, unique and authentic. We strongly believe that in Romania this possible direction can be culinary tourism. The originality of this paper-in our knowledge, at the present moment to deal a niche tourism, as culinary tourism could be in Romania, is a still a neglected objective, however this approach and this suggestion are novelty, as we demonstrated.

Namun, aspek positif seperti kerja keras, disiplin, semangat persahabatan, dan inovasi dalam Korean Wave juga dapat diambil sebagai inspirasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pendekatan Islam terhadap Korean Wave dan bagaimana umat Muslim dapat mengadopsi elemen positif dari budaya ini tanpa mengorbankan identitas dan nilai-nilai keislaman mereka. Dengan demikian, Muslim dapat memanfaatkan pengaruh Korean Wave secara bijaksana, memadukan antara apresiasi terhadap budaya luar dan komitmen terhadap prinsip-prinsip Islam.

The Hobby-Eberly Telescope (HET) is an innovative large telescope of 9.2 meter aperture, located in West Texas at the McDonald Observatory. The HET operates with a fixed segmented primary and has a tracker which moves the fourmirror corrector and prime focus instrument package to track the sidereal and non-sidereal motions of objects. A major upgrade of the HET is in progress that will substantially increase the field of view by replacing the corrector, tracker and prime focus instrument package. In addition to supporting the existing suite of instruments, this wide field upgrade will feed a revolutionary new integral field spectrograph called VIRUS, in support of the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX). This paper discusses the current status of this upgrade.

With recent attention to improving scientific workforce development and student achievement, there has been a rise in effort to understand and encourage student engagement in physical science. This study examines the association of family influence and initial interest in science through multiple and logistic regression models. Research questions addressed include Controlling for demographic variables, are physical science doctoral students or scientists who report family as a primary source of interest in science, as opposed to those that do not, more likely to develop an early interest in science? And what specific forms of family support are associated with doctoral students or scientists who report family as a primary source of initial interest in science? The study uses survey data from Project Crossover (n = 4,285), a sequential mixed methods study that examines factors influencing entrance into physical science doctoral programs as well as the transition from graduate students to independent researcher. Results suggest that family interest in science facilitates earlier initial interest in science. Further analyses show that family influence shifts from parental occupation as the primary source of interest for the older generation of scientists to one of three influences (occupation, diversion or hobby, and encouragement) among doctoral students.

The study addresses the question whether professional gamblers can be considered an occupational group from a sociological perspective. It combines survey data on poker players from the German state North Rhine-Westphalia with sociological theory in order to explain the oxymoron of professional gambling. The descriptive analysis of the survey data is supplemented by ego-centric network data of the poker players to analyze whether hobby and professional players maintain different forms of social relationships. Even when semiprofessionals and professional players are grouped together for the purpose of comparative analysis, they fulfill the criteria of occupational groups according to Salaman's major work on the topic. The study points to the fact that more research on occupational groups outside of the common fields is needed and bridges the gap between the literature on serious leisure and sociological research on professions and professionalization.

This article seeks to improve explanations for the inequality in participation of formal volunteering by connecting two so far disconnected perspectives on volunteering. While it is well established that volunteering can be a form of leisure, this perspective has not been integrated with the literature which recognises that participation in formal volunteering requires resources or capital. Based on a study of volunteering in the National Trust, the article argues that recognising that volunteering for the National Trust is a form of leisure participation in heritage or the countryside that requires cultural capital is key to explaining the predominantly white, middle-class profile of regular property-based National Trust volunteers. In this article, we present the results of a corpus-based study where we explore whether it is possible to automatically single out different facets of text complexity in a general-purpose corpus. To this end, we use factor analysis as applied in Biber’s multi-dimensional analysis framework. We evaluate the results of the factor solution by correlating factor scores and readability scores to ascertain whether the selected factor solution matches the independent measurement of readability, which is a notion tightly linked to text complexity. The corpus used in the study is the Swedish national corpus, calledStockholm-Umeå Corpusor SUC. The SUC contains subject-based text varieties (e.g., hobby), press genres (e.g., editorials), and mixed categories (e.g., miscellaneous). We refer to them collectively as ‘registers’. To address these unmet needs, expert faculty at the University of Toronto (UT) established the Global Health Emergency Medicine (GHEM) organization to provide both quality training opportunities for residents and an academic home for faculty in the field of global health EM. Tourism in China remained a mere theory until 1970s when China opened its borders to the world. It is at this stage that tourism was recognized by China's Government as a sector that could bring in foreign exchange and quicken the development process of China. The Russian state pays increasing attention to the military-patriotic upbringing of children to elevate patriotic spirit in society and to get a larger number of motivated young men join the armed forces. In 2015, Ûnarmiâ was founded to unite the country’s fragmented military-patriotic youth organisations. The movement aims to operate in all schools in Russia. By deconstructing the hegemonic discourse of military-patriotic education, I analyse the linguistic modes in which the legitimization of Ûnarmiâ is constructed. Discourses of heroism, masculinity, a beneficial and fun hobby, being citizen-soldiers, and military traditionalism include key strategies of legitimization processes for influencing audiences. In the paradigmatic case of conscientious objection, the objector claims that his religion forbids him from actively participating in a wrong (for example, by fighting in a war). In the religious challenges to the Affordable Care Act's employer mandate, on the other hand, employers claim that their religious convictions forbid them from merely subsidizing insurance through which their employees might commit a wrong (for example, by using contraception). The understanding of complicity underpinning these challenges is vastly more expansive than the standard that legal doctrine or moral theory contemplates. Courts routinely reject claims of conscientious objection to taxes that fund military initiatives or to university fees that support abortion services. In Hobby Lobby, however, the Supreme Court took the corporate owners at their word: the mere fact that Hobby Lobby believed that it would be complicit, no matter how idiosyncratic its belief, sufficed to qualify it for an exemption. In this way, the Court made elements of an employee's health-care package the "boss's business" (to borrow from the nickname of the Democrats' proposed bill to overturn Hobby Lobby). Much of the critical reaction to Hobby Lobby focuses on the issue of corporate rights of religious freedom. Yet this issue is a red herring. The deeper concerns that Hobby Lobby raises-about whether employers may now refuse, on religious grounds, to subsidize other forms of health coverage (for example, blood transfusions or vaccinations) or to serve customers whose lifestyles they deplore (for example, gays and lesbians)-do not turn on the organizational form that the employer

A new form of tourism is sweeping Japan. Groups of middle-aged women, mostly aged between fifty and seventy, are collecting mountain summits. They hike up mountains in organized groups on one to four-day expeditions. It is not unusual in Japan for men and women to undertake leisure activities separately but hiking up mountains, as contrasted to mountaineering, is definitely a hobby of women. We hypothesize that Japanese women of this older generation are fitter and live longer than previous generations and have reached an age when they have both the time and money to undertake these activities. Reaching the summit is often celebrated with relaxing in baths fed by hot springs. The authors link this new form of tourism to the pilgrimages to sacred sites, often associated with mountains, popular in eighteenth century Japan.

In the urban area there is scarce space for planting trees and cultivating agricultural plants. Rooftop gardening might be an alternative to overcome this land scarcity. The present study analyzes the scenario of rooftop gardening, its problem confrontation and its effects on the surroundings. Nirala and Sonadanga area of Khulna city of Bangladesh were purposively selected for the study from where a total of 60 rooftop gardens were randomly selected for face-to-face interview with a pre-tested interview schedule during the period of 15 March to 20 April, 2018. Results showed that majority of the rooftop gardeners belonged to the group of old age (40%), undergrad and above level of education (61.6%) and small family size (55%) with high annual income (41.7%). Majority of them had low experience (40%), but high knowledge (76.7%) on rooftop gardening. Besides, 58.3% respondents had no organizational participation along with seldom extension contact (66.7%) and seldom cosmopoliteness (81.7%). More than half of the respondents (65%) had small size (≤1000 ft 2) roof area suitable for gardening. The rooftop gardeners earned very poor economic benefit from the garden compared to bearing large expenditure for it. Most of the respondents preferred rooftop garden as a hobby (98.3%) and aesthetics (90%). Again, 51.7% respondents considered it as an aspect of ecological balance. Vegetables (16.6%) and flowers (12.5%) were the most dominating plants in the study area for rooftop gardens. Main intercultural operations included irrigation, weeding, training/pruning and control of insects and diseases. Commonly faced insects were ant, mealy bug and green leaf hopper with the diseases of die back, viral disease, leaf curling and leaf scorching. Common fertilizers used in the study area were cow dung, compost, urea, muriate of potash and sesame cake. Excessive heat (91.7%), lack of proper nourishment (87.1%) and roof load (72.9%) were the most severe problems. Among the 9 selected characteristics only age of the respondents showed significant positive relationship with problem confrontation. Besides, weather parameters showed positive impacts in case of green roof than empty roof. Thus, the overall results indicate great contributions of rooftop gardening in urban areas in terms of environmental reclamation.

This research study contributes towards understanding the customer's behaviour dynamics. In business analysis, it is very important not to ignore the fact that the interaction between human beings implicitly includes an emotional dimension. The research methodology includes the following: (1) customer purchase pattern prediction methods based on correlation; (2) augmentation of data set by using genetic algorithms; and (3) multiple regression models. The analysis indicates how the hobby of a customer is directly related to the purchase patterns and satisfaction level. We applied business intelligence (BI) techniques and concluded that, by using multiple regression method is possible to evaluate the level of customer satisfaction up to the upper limit of security of about 90%. BI tools could be used to employ significant achievements in specific fields based on open innovations. This paper aims at providing further practical guidance in this innovative research field by using a mix of interdisciplinary methods and techniques.

The Society of 27 Book Lovers in Kaunas that functioned in 1930–1940 played an important role in the history of Lithuanian culture. It signified the outset of the organized bibliophilic movement in Lithuania. The society, brought together by Vytautas Steponitis, Paulius Galaunė, Viktoras Cimkauskas and other like-minded people, contributed immensely in shaping the tradition of bibliophilic activity, upraised the culture of the Lithuanian book, and developed aesthetic circulation and bibliophilic book publishing (10 publications were published). All of this was done by a dozen (ranging in number from 15 to 21) devoted book lovers and bibliophiles par excellence. Their bibliophilic hobby transcended the boundaries of amateur activities, and the Society operated as a professional publishing house giving rise to the publishing of scientific periodicals of book science. The practice of producing drone videos for hobby or commercial purposes has already created a vast amount of open and free video datasets. When these videos are properly authored, time-stamped and geo-referenced, they receive characteristics of volunteered geographic information (VGI). As alternative forms to user-generated content (UGC), these visually appealing footages attract significant attention, but their production faces different practical and motivational issues that could impose limitation on the value of this kind of VGI. In order to better understand volunteered geographic drone videos (VGDV) from the social media and VGI perspective we conceptualize and discuss prospects and problems that could be explored in further research. This paper contributes to the development of theory about aerial drone videos, exploration of aerial drone video UGC characteristics and to the applicability of drone videos in Digital Earth systems.

Board gaming is a popular hobby that increasingly features the inclusion of technology, yet little research has sought to understand how board game player experience is impacted by digital augmentation or to inform the design of new technology-enhanced games. We present a mixed-methods study exploring how the presence of music and sound efects impacts the player experience of a board game. We found that the soundtrack increased the enjoyment and tension experienced by players during game play. We also found that a soundtrack provided atmosphere surrounding the gaming experience, though players did not necessarily experience this as enhancing the world-building capabilities of the game. We discuss how our fndings can inform the design of new games and soundtracks as well as future research into board game player experience. Agricultural land protection near the urban-rural fringe is a goal of many jurisdictions, including British Columbia, Canada, which uses a provincial-wide zoning scheme to prevent subdivisions and non-agricultural uses of the land. Preferential taxes are also used to encourage agricultural use of the land. Small scale hobby farmers are present at the urban fringe near Victoria (the capital), both inside and outside of the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR). The goal of this paper is to investigate whether hobby farms create problems for agricultural land preservation. We make use of a GIS (geographic information system) model to construct detailed spatial variables and analyse our parcel-level data set using an hedonic pricing model and a limited dependent variable model.
