Career education

The complete implementation of the Transition Semester in Korea is relating to agriculture and rural areas. Many of the rural tourism farm households have made the effort to attract the middle school students. The farm households' struggles to make difference from conventional tourism activities for the Transition Semester programs seem to empower themselves. However, there are still many obstacles to overcome. Apart from physical barriers, it is firstly necessary for the farm households to aware that the Transition Semester is for career education.

In the methodological tool, hobby clubs are treated as the first stage of an adolescent’s involvement in the world of work. The coherence of formal and informal education is reviewed, the psychological peculiarities of the consistent development of children’s hobbies are presented, and the competencies of primary and basic education and informal training and informal children’s education are compared. The competencies of career education in the following hobby clubs are specifically described: astronomy and astrophysics, biophysics, photography, karting, ship modeling.
The methodical tool is intended for teachers of informal education schools, hobby club leaders and methodologists.

A career can be seen as a sequence of employments, jobs and positions an individual fills in throughout their professional life. The choices made within the educational system seem to influence its successful start. The formal educational system is nowadays a preparatory stage for both professional life and lifelong learning. Retaining one’s employment and career development goes, therefore, hand in hand with lifelong learning while employers play a significant role in all forms of further professional development. This article presents a theoretical model for career realization, the basis for which is the assumption that an individual independently shapes their career, where career is interpreted as the implementation of accepted values that determine a person's attitudes and behaviors. It characterizes contemporary careers and analyzes the issue of values as the basis for action in relation to career realization. A career model based on accepted values and demonstrated attitudes illustrates certain regularities in the methods of career realization with regard to the possibility of change and the actualization. The model indicates an axiological scope of the career realization process, constituting a proposition for discussion and thought on the methods of interpretation of career, its course, and its determinants. It can prove useful in career counseling for students, adults, and active professionals, and in diagnosing their preferences, interests, attitudes, and value systems. It can also be used in designing curricula for pedagogy, psychology, sociology, human resources administration, and so forth, because it facilitates understanding of motives underlying human behaviors and actions in different situations in private and professional life.

In the first instance, prior to getting deep into the most significant points of discussion with regard to environmental recycling; would be better to know what recycling is; subsequent to knowing the real concept would be easy to get onto the evocative arguments of discussion in order to come up with suggestive strategies and measures to put into action.
Accordingly, starting from layman’s perception recycling is the process of making or manufacturing new products from the product that has originally served its purpose. If these used products are disposed of in an appropriate environmentally friendly way, the process of recycling has been set in motion. Items that are made from material such as aluminum, plastic water bottles and certain kinds of paper can be separated from regular trash and put in an appropriate recycling bin. In this regard all steps in order to save the environment would certainly become the part of environmental cycling.

A legislação emitida no âmbito da actual Lei de Bases do Sistema Educativo – Lei nº 46/86, de 14 de Outubro – considera a influência da Escola no processo de construção de projectos vocacionais dos alunos como uma das dimensões fundamentais do processo educativo, do 1º ao 12º ano. Esta preocupação é formalizada através da criação do objectivo educativo transdisciplinar “valorização da dimensão humana do trabalho”. A fim de compreender os modos de operacionalização deste princípio transversal no currículo enunciado, vários elementos foram analisados, nomeadamente, documentos legais (e.g., Decreto da Reforma Curricular – Dec. Lei nº 286/89, de 29 de Agosto), os programas e manuais escolares de algumas disciplinas do 9º ano. Os resultados apontam essencialmente para duas direcções distintas, embora relacionadas entre si, (a) a valorização da dimensão humana do trabalho não é considerada de uma forma explícita intencional ou sistemática, quer na maior parte da legislação quer nos programas e manuais analisados, e (b) a orientação e o desenvolvimento vocacional e a valorização da dimensão humana do trabalho são concebidos como domínios independentes, não sendo a última entendida como uma forma de concretização dos anteriores.

This study was carried out to determine career education as an effective tool for curbing youth unemployment. Specifically, this study determined: the effect of unemployment on national development, challenges facing career education in schools and the benefits of career education towards curbing youth unemployment. Three research questions and two null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The descriptive survey design was used and the population for this study was made up of Technical and Vocational educators in the Niger State College of Education Minna. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The data collected were analysed using mean and t-test. The findings revealed that career education helps labour markets work to meet their goals, the effects of unemployment on national security are high wave of crime, robbery, political assassinations, religious riots, among youths and the challenges facing career guidance in schools is inadequate career resource centre, inadequate time for guidance and counselling. The following recommendations are hereby proffered among others, are: career guidance services should be made compulsory and provided for all levels of education to help students in making realistic career choices; the roles, responsibilities, and ethical obligations of employees in the industry should be adequately communicated to the students during training by focusing on career education.
