Agri Tourism

The study was to identify the profile of the agri-tourism sites in the selected municipalities in the 4 th district of Batangas. Specifically, it determines the status and prospects of agri-tourism in the selected municipalities in the 4 th district of Batangas in terms of SocioEconomic and Environmental Aspects; and have proposed an action plan to promote the agri-tourism as a destination. The researchers have conducted the study to see how the agri-tourism benefits the community in terms of their economy and environmental aspects. This study have provided more awareness to the community about the Agri-tourism in the place. In addition this research educates people to be more vigilant enough on giving importance on the Agri-tourism we have in Batangas. Results showed that the three major agri-tourism farms in the fourth district of Batangas were Vilela's Farm, British Farm and Moca Farm. Agri-tourism in Batangas has socioeconomic effects to the residents of the fourth district of Batangas. Agri-tourism has no environmental effect as assessed by the residents of Batangas.

The primary purpose of this study is to arrived at a strategic development plan for the promotion of eco and agri-tourism industry in Pangasinan. To achieve this purpose, the researcher determined the business profiles of eco and agri-tourism sites in Pangasinan, looked into the difference in the business profiles between public and private eco and agri-tourism sites and looked into the perceptions of public and private eco and agri-tourism site operators and employees on the potential impact of eco and agri-tourism industry in the province. Furthermore, the study determined if there is significant difference between public and private operators and employee's perceptions on this impact along the dimensions of sustainability. All the data and insights derived from this study served as basis for the development of strategic development plan. The researcher employed the descriptive method of research. Using both parametric and non-parametric statistical tests such as Mann-Whitney test, t-test for independent samples and chi-square test, the researcher quantified the data gathered using the survey questionnaire. Data obtained from the questionnaire were validated using interview, on-site visit and observation. The researcher concluded that the business profiles eco and agri-tourism site operators in Pangasinan vary across public and private entities. Moreover, public and private eco and agri-tourism sites significantly differ in terms of their business profiles; hence, the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference in term so their business profiles is rejected at 0.05 level of significance. The researcher likewise concluded that employees and operators of public and private eco and agri-tourism sites in Pangasinan have a favorable perception as to the impact of their industry in sustainable development as shown by the perceived very high impact along the three dimensions of sustainable development.

Usually islands have some disadvantages and some limitations from the point of natural resources and the use of these resources for economical development. Being an island, North Cyprus having the similar disadvantages and limitations, however that considerable advantages as well. In that concept, agricultural resources offers more potential to improve tourism industry of the ısland. As a new emerging form of tourism, agritourism may become a solution for the development of rural ecomomy while reducing the disparities in the island. The tourism industry which is supported with agritourism can play an important role on reversing the fate of the island economy comparing other industries' contribution to economy. The study analysis agritourism as conceptually and aims to highlight the agritourism potential and how efficiently use this potential of North Cyprus for rural's economic and social development. Bir ada olarak Kuzey Kıbrıs, benzer dezavantajlara ve sınırlamalara sahip olmakla birlikte diğer yandan belirli endüstriler bakımından dikkate değer avantajlar taşımaktadır. Bu anlamda adanın kırsal tarımsal alanları turizm endüstrisinin gelişimine daha fazla olanak sunmaktadır. Tarımsal alanlarda ortaya çıkan yeni bir turizm türü olarak agriturizm, bir yandan kırsal alanlardaki gelişme yönündeki olumsuzlukları azaltırken diğer yandan tarım alanlarının etkin kullanımına imkan sağlayarak bölgelerin ekonomik ve sosyal gelişmine fırsat sunmaktadır. Bu çalışma, agriturizm kavramını kavramsal biçimde incelemekte ve Kuzey Kıbrıs'ın agriturizm potansiyelinin kırsal bölgelerdeki tarımsal kaynakların diğer bileşenleri ile adanın ekonomik ve sosyal gelişmesi için nasıl etkin bir şekilde kullanilabileceğini açıklamaya çalışmaktadır.

As a development strategy for rural areas, the importance of agricultural tourism / farm tourism has been increasing
day by day. For the healthy development of this growing area, putting out weak points of the system is important.
Because of this, farm tourism experiences of the operators and visitors have been examined in this study. The
reasons why the farmers operating within the organization of Tatuta (Agriculture- tourism- exchange project) are
working in a different sector (tourism) in addition to the agriculture sector that is, what their targets are the first
sub-objective of this research. To what extent these targets are reached constitutes the second sub-objective of the
research. Among different qualitative research approaches, phenomenology was applied in this study. The reason
for choosing phenomenology as a research pattern is that personal experiences are the main focus in this research
design. Two separate sample groups were selected for the study's two research questions. In the selection of the
first sample group, criterion-based sampling was used from objective sampling strategies and easily accessible
sampling strategy was used in selecting the second sample group. Audiovisual materials were used as data
collection tools. The data obtained from the farm owners and visitors was subjected to content analysis. At the end
of the study, it has been seen that visitors’ farm tourism experiences are generally positive. Although some farms
have been criticized in some cases, this rate is rather low. On the other hand, among the diversification reasons,
the most important factor that pushes farmers to diversification is environmental factors. Besides, farm owners
have reached almost all of their goals of turning to farm tourism. It has been seen that farm owners' farm tourism
experiences are generally positive.

Agri-tourism as an emerging industry provides both livelihood and income opportunities to the people surrounding the site. The main thrust of this research is to determine the status of selected agri-tourism venture in Bohol, Philippines, particularly the related socio-economic benefits and the struggles encountered by the management of the site. The study is purely qualitative in nature. Questionnaire and personal interview were used to gather primary information from the respondents. There were three (3) site managers, fifteen (15) workers, and fifteen (15) locals who participated in the study. Results revealed that agri-tourism is very promising and undoubtedly forms a significant part of the lives of its workers and its community. For the workers, it largely contributes to: an increase in household income; an improved standard of living; and a healthy working environment. For the locals outside the agri-tourism sites, the sites have opened opportunities for them to earn income which were not there before the sites operated. The sites faced struggles brought by locals, employees, and visitors.

This study concerns the Agri-tourism programs in Quezon province as basis for sustainable development program. This intended to achieve the following objectives: describe the profile of respondents; determine the impact of programs; evaluate the residents' level of satisfaction; test the significant difference on the impact; and propose a plan of action to attain sustainable development on Agri-tourism of Quezon province. Rural tourism is an important factor that improves sustainability and development of the regions. However, it is not easy for every region to make possible sustainable rural tourism activities. In other words the process needs a strategic rural development program. This study examines the Rural Development Program (RDP) approach to tourism through the example of Basilicata region of Italy which has a high level of rural areas and is the third region in line among the regions close to city centres in terms of the highest number of nights spent by the domestic tourists. Particularly, some important components, in accordance with the development process , have been mentioned in terms of rural tourism and components which are related to development of regional tourism intensity. Furthermore, evaluation of the RDP's contribution on the regional development in terms of economic and social aspects and its requirements were examined in the study through the related statistics and literature review. 1 Only "the earlier form of the abstract part" of the study was mailed for presentation to National Tourism Congress (was in 18-22 May 2016), but later the abstract could not have been presented because of health problems, so that it was not taken to conference paper. Then, both abstract part and the whole study have been developed for the current article form.

Purpose: To understand the impetus of urban horticulture in the Mutare city with explicit motivation on low density areas. Research methodology: The investigation was quantitative in nature, and used a random sample of urban farmers in Mutare city low density areas. The Statistical Package for Social Scientist (SPSS Version 23) was used to analyse data from the questionnaires. Results: The results reveal that Mutare urban agricultural activities are driven by the need for food self-sufficient, income generation and utilisation of urban open spaces. Limitations: The research had limitations on the sample size and also needed to factor in other multiple response questions. Contributions: The findings are useful to urbanites, urban planners, developmental agents and authorities in the development of urban agriculture.
