The 3-year project is part of a larger international ATSB consortium involving three countries in Africa, and international partners in the UK and USA. As part of this effort, KEMRI is searching for an exceptional trial manager with three years of relevant work experience to lead the study team Position: Clerk (Interviewer) (12 Positions) J/G KMR 10 Location: Alego Usonga Reports to: Research Scientist Job Description The Community Interviewer will report directly to the Research Scientist. S/He will be responsible for collection of standard ANC, OPD, Household registration, service deliveryrelated data using ScanForm registers. The community Interviewer must ensure that the data collection in the health facilities and at the community level is conducted in the highest standards possible as per Health Facility and Community Surveillance study protocols. S/he must be flexible and work within the existing structure, in a professional and ethical manner with competence, accountability and integrity. Essential Requirements:       Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education minimum grade of D+ (plus). Proficiency in English, Swahili and Dholuo languages, both written and spoken Knowledge of office computer packages or ability to work with smart phones Must be able to write brief reports and keep records Ability to ride a motorcycle MUST be a resident or willing to live and work in Alego Usonga Desired qualities:  Experience in using and/or completing Health Facility registers (MOH 204A, MOH 204B and MOH 405) and/or CHV registers (MOH 513, MOH 514) is an added advantage  Experience working with CHAs and CHVs also an added advantage Specific Tasks and Responsibilities. The Community Interviewer’s responsibilities shall include and not be limited to the following:  Ensure health facility registers are filled in with participant’s data  Ensure CHV registers are filled in with participant’s data  Perform Quality checks and spot checks  Take images of the filed registers using ScanForm app and upload to the server.  Performt data verification  Complete study forms accurately and completely  Communicate with the Research Scientist on field issues  Ensure that one has requisite supplies in good time  Attend study field meetings and report on progress of work  Be courteous, respectful, proactive, conscientious, punctual, honest, and hardworking  Work closely with the Data Manager to solve queries  Perform any other duties assigned or delegated by the study management.  Must be able to relate well with Ministry of Health staff and the community. Terms of Employment: Contract is as per KEMRI scheme of service with probation in the first 3 months.
