With the help of Student Information System (SIS), student information can be stored and maintenance can be done. It is useful for educational institutions to maintain the records of students. The storage and management of information regarding a students’ academics is crucial in any institution. This system can be useful for all types of details, academic reports, institutional details, curriculum, and other resource as well. Student Information System software is very essential nowadays for all the educational institutions to store the information of students. —This paper presents an analysis of the current storage of data related to students in college and an idea to centralize those data by building a web based application to access and modify them. The Registration is done every year for the new as well as the old students and theses requires a lot of resources. Paper and file based information storage is not very convenient, secure and environmentally unhealthy. Student Information System is a Simple web based interface to manage student information on all grounds. Critically important that the information stored must be up-to date and accessible ubiquitously, the Student Information System will be helpful to all those institutes that requires the storage of student information. Result Management module enhances the declaration and preparation of semester end results.

The management of student related information in an educational institute gets more tedious with every passing year as all systems in today's world are being computerized, there is a need for an automated system for managing such information. Student Information and Score Management System (SISMS) provides a simple interface for maintenance of student information. It can be used by educational institutions or colleges to maintain the records of students easily. The creation and management of veracious, state of the art information regarding a students' academic career is critically important in the university as well as colleges. Student information and score management system deals with all kind of student information, academic reports, college details, course details, curriculum, batch details, score management and other resource related details too.

The main purpose of this Student Information Management System (SIMS),is a management information system for education establishments to manage student data. In the current system all the activities are done manually. It is very time consuming and costly. Our Student Management system deals with the various activities related to the students. For every colleges of their important task for people administration department is to manage student data information of the details in a the procedure oriented system manner with oflatest inform updates for every year for which need to be available for easy access. In order to provide this service we designed simple follow of the Students Information role Management System enter project which has various of modules which is helpful for the student administration to the of efficiently faculty manages them student’s details. The project name is STUDENTS INFORMATION SYSTEM (SIS) for UOM. An SIS is a website that creates a single point of access to information collected from different sources .e.g. Different departments like computer science, software engineering etc. For students information and records manual system is used which is a headache for both administration and students. The project is basically for department of software engineering department where a desktop base application is used for students records maintenance. The current system does not have any feature of students fee record, no logout feature and only the clerk of department can use this system. It has no connection with examination section or finance section. The system we are going to develop can be used by all departments of University Of Malakand.
—A student information system provides a simple interface for the easy collation and maintenance of all manner of student information. The creation and management of accurate, up-to-date information regarding students' academic careers is critical students and for the faculties and administration of Sebha University in Libya and for any other educational institution. A student information system deals with all kinds of data from enrollment to graduation, including program of study, attendance record, payment of fees and examination results to name but a few. All these data need to be made available through a secure, online interface embedded in a university's website. To lay the groundwork for such a system, first we need to build the student database to be integrated with the system. Therefore we proposed and implemented an online web-based system, which we named the student data system, to collect and correct all student data at Sebha University. The output of the system was evaluated by using a similarity (Euclidean distance) algorithm. The results showed that the new data collected by the SAS can fill the gaps and correct the errors in the old manual data records.
In this scholarly thesis pertinent to the setting up of a automated student performance record management system which enables the users of a university like student and faculty to access the important information with ease through a user friendly web application. This proposed system aims at eliminating the practice of time consuming and vulnerable tradition of manual maintenance of student information in paper at the very basic level. In a university there are many departments all these departments provide various records regarding student. Most of these track records need to maintain information about the students. Thus by proposing a computerizes student record management system will enable the users to access data at any time and any place. The student web portal enables huge storage of data and easy retrieval. There are many departments in a college thus but introducing a student web portal will centralize the administration and the entire system will work as one single entity. The paper work would be reduced and number of workers in each department staff also reduces as one single operator can run this web application
This study aimed to improve the efficiency of the existing Student Information System of Kalinga State University Rizal campus. To attain this objective, an assessment of the existing system was done through observation and interview methods from the Acting Registrar, Campus Secretary, Faculty Members and students. Results reveal that the existing student information system met the five requirements: reusability, maintainability, security, usefulness and functionaity and evaluation on the system appeal of a quality software only to a "moderate extent". Moreover, reliability of the existing system was given a "low extent" rating. Based on the assessment results, the existing student information system was refined to include suggestions such as the inclusion of online query access, online accessiblity of student information, and a role-based security in the system. During the try-out of the developed student information system, it was assessed with "high extent" of effectiveness in terms of all system components except for its usability and efficiency which is rated as "moderate extent". The developed Student Information System provided greater satisfaction to the users compared with the existing system for an efficient querying of student information records, keeping the student records in a more secured manner, and it gives more reliable information records of students in Kalinga State University Rizal campus.

Managing student-related information in educational institutes becomes more cumbersome each year. As all systems today are being computerized, there is a need for an automated system to manage such information effectively. This paper proposes the development of a Student Management and Information System (SMIS) that computerizes the management of student activities and data. The system is user-friendly, efficient, and cost-effective, handling student academic and non-academic details, hostel management, leave management, and more. SMIS provides a simple graphical interface for maintaining student details.

There were a number of problems associated with adopted manual methods to manage student information in the Department of Student Affairs in the College of Medicine – University of Diyala, these followed regulations caused delay in the delivery of services to students, inaccuracies in the completion of tasks and so on. A new system designed and implemented by using the tools of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (.Net Framework Environment) and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 to solve most of the problems and obstacles resulting from the use of the old methods and techniques. The main work of the software design process included requirements analysis, database description and logical structure design of the data. Database System test results show that the database system meets the requirements of each module with a graphical user interface and simple procedures. Student data can be updated by the administrator of the system efficiently, accurately in a short time and in a flexible manner. Finally concluded that adopted this new database student information management system helps to accomplish the tasks at high speed and accuracy, also helps the management of the college in speed of decision-making, which helps raise the level of performance of the college in general.

Mobile software application designed with consideration for the demands and constraints allows easy access to data at all times. Students as users can register with mobile application to view academic records which are uploaded by faculty. A new algorithm named RS 2 A is proposed and implemented along with md5 algorithm which uses its cryptographic hash functions to make data highly secure.
