CAN - Paris, France 1972

CAN -  Live l'Olympia
Paris, France
1973-05-12

Soundboard remaster @flac

*Original Notes*

- MULTIBAND REMASTER by the Digital Loyalist -

Of course, fans of CAN already got this bootleg which is widely known for its nice soundboard quality.

It's a fantastic live shows and one of the last performance of Damo Suzuki.

It's a nice soundboard BUT i thought that it needed some remastering to my ears. I wanted to emphasize Jaki Liebezeit & Holger Czukay hypnotic rythm section.
So that's what i did using a Multiband Compression as i already done with my previous torrents.

Of course, if you prefer to stick to the original version, don't download it. That's why this sample is for.
You can compare with the original version which is on Youtube here :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2KRZheyS38&list=PL25A85FCF0410AD6E&index=18

NOTE
1 - At the beginning of 'Spoon', there was some applause that seems redundant with the end of 'One more night' applause. Don't know why.
I decided to delete few seconds of it so 'Spoon' succeeds to 'One more night' seamlessly.
2 - The first 3 minutes of Spoon are flawed then it gets much better. there's also a cut after some applause at 16'44.
Don't know why. I decided to leave it like that.
3 - Vitamin C is sadly cut out after 13'44.

Setlist:

01-Queueing down
02-One more night
03-Spoon
04-Vitamin C

LINE-UP :
Damo Suzuki, vocals
Holger Czukay, bass
Michael Karoli, guitars
Jaki Liebezeit, drums
Irmin Schmidt, keyboards

This has been shared here in October 2004.
At the time, there was a doubt about the real date of this concert (May 12 or 22).
But thanks to this website, we can be sure that it is May 12 as CAN were back in Germany by May 22.

Led Zeppelin - Live St. Louis, MO. -1975

Led Zeppelin - Live St. Louis, MO.
February 16, 1975
Missouri Arena
aka-The Flu's Nearly Gone
Remastered soundboard @flac

Lineage: Tapecity>Me>FLAC>Audacity>WAV>Music Creater 5

Led Zeppelin 2/16/1975 St.Louis "The Flu's Nearly Gone"
In For A Quick Garden Remaster

*Original Notes*

This was one of my first attempts at a remaster. The St.Louis soundboard was a good quality soundboard but needed a little adjustments. This remaster took me a about a month to complete. There was a lot of audio testing and different ideas put in to try and get the perfect sound. Cakewalk Music Creater 5 was purchased to do so. Audacity just doesn't have the good effects to get the sound i want out of my remasters, although it does work as a good amp and bass boost. The recording was imported as a FLAC file into audacity. It was then amplified, and added bass boost and gain to enhance sound. Then after remastering through audacity, it was exported as a WAVE file and then imported in Music Creater 5 and remasterd. Its not a perfect concert, but as close as it gets. There was some problems in the recording. In some cases the cymbols where so loud that in a few songs the cymbols where to loud and had a bad sound to them probably due to the mics set to close to them. Another problem was Stairway to Heaven. At the beginning of the song there was a very annoying tape hiss. To solve the problem, the part of tape hiss was taken out Stairway To Heaven from the 3/19/1975 Vancouver show was cut to take place of the deleted section from the St. Louis show. This problem solved the tape hiss and the cut-in sections are less noticeable. The soundboard recording was just overall really good. The sound is just all there. It captured Zeppelin at their best for sure. This remaster deffinitly helped Zeppelin sound their best right at their prime. This is more than likely the best version of this show to date. Better than all the versions ive heard from bootleg companies. It was a fun remaster and was a great experience. This is a more digital remaster than most boots out there. Way better quality. If that's not what you like to hear along with the original qualities of bootlegs, this isn't for you. This is my hobby and is for fun.

RUSH (BP) 74...

THIS is a Voodoo Wagon EXCLUSIVE!

Now, I Know You're sayin' to Yourself - I Already Have THIS!
Well, YES and NO!

I've had this concert of RUSH from 1974 for a long time and have seen it on many a blog and website...
BUT...
They're ALL from the Same Source!
Apparently there was a Canadian TV Show called BANDSTAND who filmed this RUSH concert at St. Catharines, Ontario's Laura Second Secondary School with John Rutsey on Drums.
(You can watch it on YouTube in Living Colour, eh!)
AND, They ALL have the same problems and glitches and gremlins, etc:
The Vocals in the First couple of minutes of "Need Some Love."
"In The Mood" still fades out, 'cause, well that was the end of the broadcast! (Nothing could be done for that!)
And, the Sound Quality had a certain Muddy-ness to it overall...
Then Again IT WAS Filmed in 1974!
Apparently, some or all of the Original was released with R40 as a Bonus...

AGAIN! - THIS IS NOT THAT!
THIS is a Remastered Version of the Original TV Source
Available Nowhere Else!
It's NOT on ANY OTHER Blog or Website - 'Cause I Didn't Get It from Any Other Blog or Website (IF That Makes sense?)...

It's Not Perfect, BUT - To These Old Ears, It's Much Improved!

Compare Before YOU D/L:
