Saturday's Critters #145
This time of the year I have a few warblers stop by to eat the berries growing wild in my yard. We purposely leave some Devil's Walking Stick and Pokeberry bushes growing for their berries, the birds love them.
Below is the Tennessee Warbler.
The Cape May Warblers were seen for a few days in a row, not sure if it was the same bird. The males have a dark yellow color.
The warblers are always a treat to see, especially when they land in my yard.

strange, I hardly saw the little warbler because of the strange look of the flower. But then I found it :)

Beautiful birds. I looked up the calls so I could hear them. I must say the Tennessee Warbler sounds much nicer. The Cape May Warbler is a little ear piercing ( At least the one I listened to was)

Warblers are such pretty birds and it's hard for me to tell them apart. We have quite a few here in FL but right now we have more purple finches than anything else in our feeders. Hugs!

Believe it or not, the pokeberry bushes on the W&O.D. trail have less than 20% of their berries left. There were so many, but the birdies have been going to town!

Wild plants, different critters of all sizes . . .
Plus a large area to place the many, many oak leaves that fall around our home.
It's the season . . . the leaves and acorns are falling fast . . .

Hi Eileen. Your little Warbler is pretty, and looks familiar, I may have seen a few around here in early Spring. After a long, hot summer, I am relocating a couple of feeders and freshening up in hopes of attracting some Chickadees. Your photos of the little bird are good-looks like plenty of berries. Those Cape May Warblers sure look odd in that plumage at this time of the year.

Hello Eileen!:) Sorry I'm so late, but yesterday was hectic. It's lovely to see your yellow Warblers. Pokeberry plants are plentiful on the farm, and the birds have been gorging themselves on the berries. It's nice of you to keep these weeds in your garden for the critters.:)
