Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Wednesday

Got to town and started walking at 6:35, it was of course still dark but clear, 30 degrees and calm.
Sunrise 7:33
Morning Walk Steps 10,805

With the temperature up and down the pond froze, thawed, and now has another thin coating of ice on it.

Walked all over town as usual up and down some side streets, the ball park, and one of the cemeteries.
By the time I got to the lower cemetery I had all my steps.

Again didn't see anyone else out.
The first of the year I usually see some new people out.
They probably make new years resolutions to start walking.
I usually see them for a short while and then they give up.

The sun was out for a short while at the end of my walk but by the time I was home there was nothing by clouds and it started raining mid morning.

⛅️    🎄    🙂

Made a mini round loaf of bread this morning called Parmesan Herb Loaf.
A new one for me and pleased how it turned out.
Will be making it again.

Had a few more Christmas cards to write out for church friends and got them done this afternoon.
There is a table at church where you can leave cards for people - saves having to mail them.

Did some reading and knitting this afternoon.

This mini tree sits in the box window above the kitchen sink.
Nice to see it there while I'm doing dishes.

Supper tonight was left over baked ziti with the bread that I made this morning.

Happy Wednesday to you and thanks for taking the time to visit here.

It seemed like the little Christmas tree wasn't so little after all.
It seemed to grow taller and wider with all the decorations on it.

Oh, I so love that pond photo, and the one that follows...but that pond shot is wonderful beyond words.
