A multidisciplinary approach between law and opera is the reading key adopted by this essay to highlight the intersections between the Codice per lo Regno delle Due Sicilie and Vincenzo Bellini’s La Sonnambula. Through a game of mirrors, between the rules of the Leggi civili of 1819 and the melodrama, appears a di- chotomy between sentimental reasons and economic questions linked to the ex- ceptional nature of the provisions included in the discipline of donations between spouses. Furthermore, the combination of the legislative text with melodrama is favored by a further meeting point: the French ancestry, which unites both.

The jurisdictional activity of the Court of Cassation of Palermo constitutes the leitmotif of this work, which takes into consideration the 'procedural moment' of this judiciary, present in the Peninsula from 1862 to 1923. The enactment of the Code of civil procedure of 1865 represented a fundamental stage not only for Sicily but for the entire kingdom of Italy, according to different facets of the 'juridical': the end of a path, the start of a new period, or even a time of transition. The theme certainly involved the organization of the summit of justice and the sentences of the Sicilian Court therefore assume a privileged visual angle from which to observe the subject.

L’attività giurisdizionale della Corte di Cassazione di Palermo costituisce il motivo conduttore del presente lavoro, che tiene in considerazione il ‘momento processuale’ di questa magistratura, presente nella Penisola dal 1862 al 1923. L’emanazione del Codice di procedura civile del 1865 rappresentò una tappa fondamentale non solo per la Sicilia ma per l’intero regno d’Italia, secondo differenti sfaccettature del ‘giuridico’: fine di un percorso, avvio di un periodo nuovo, o ancora tempo di transizione. Il tema interessava, certamente, l’organizzazione del vertice della giustizia e le sentenze del Tribunale siciliano assumono, dunque, un angolo visuale privilegiato da cui osservare l’argomento.

In the post-unification period, the dimension of Italian legal science was made up of new ferments aimed at applying methods and researching the role of the jurist in the social crisis of the last decades of the nineteenth century. Gia- como Venezian’s civil law lessons represent an opportunity to investigate, through the choice of the discipline of successions, the methodological approach used in explaining the matter. Furthermore, the course offers the occasion to reflect on some issues that engaged legal theorists and practitioners in university classrooms and in the courts immediately after the enactment of the Italian civil code. In this regard, the subject of the two-year course of lessons constitutes a synthesis of the scientific debate on the interpretation to be assigned to those legislative changes introduced by the code of 1865.

The article  focuses on the paper "Mystification, Confusion and Conflict" of 1965 by Ronald David Laing, analyzing the meaning of the concept of mystification in the context of some family stories. Mainly the stories, like those of the Maya and Ruth, are investigated in the clinical setting, through a methodology existential-phenomenological examining the experiences and interactions that characterize the family group where one member was diagnosed as schizophrenic. The families using particular relational styles and forms of communication paradoxical, extremely misleading and mystifying. Verbal exchanges inside the family, and then transformed into praxis in the process, often result in a profound change in the perception of self and other, in addition to causing confusion of the sense of identity, either in those who are mystified but also in those who mystifies.
Clinical studies developed by Laing and collaborators at the Tavistock Clinic and Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, London, have made intelligible the deeper aspects of the experiences related to the "madness", revealing the real human relationships, the nodes of feelings and emotions, or mutual expectations, the conditioning and even violence.
The social perspective and phenomenological built by Laing, later confirmed by a number of research approaches and psychotherapeutic treatment, still retains all its relevance. In particular, it is useful in the study of family dynamics and the process leading to internalize the relational model of dysfunctional family system. The existential analysis of the distortions family, carried on by Laing, is essential to understand how to intervene in the psychological field to demystify and restore the authentic relationships.
The experience of Laing, who has gone through and illuminated the darkness of the world of psychotic disorders, but also the behavior of everyday life and experiences of ordinary madness, continues his work of demystification and tipping logic mental, and every phenomenon individual or interpersonal, which at first glance seems incomprehensible.

In recent decades, disordered eating behavior, as well as those belonging to the sexual sphere, showed a significant increase in the Western world and has raised increasing concern. A study published by the Journal of Clinical Sexology (7, 2000/1) attempted to establish possible correlations between bulimia and alterations of the experience of sexual and erotic women, confirming through its results the close association between the two disorders, albeit within a more complex order. It is used to identify sexual disorders or troubled relationships in either a single or couple situation. SESAMO could be administered by qualified clinicians: doctors, psychologists, university health and social services institutions. When there is an over or latent issue to explore, or when it is necessary to act quickly and concisely in response to issues of a personal and embarrassing nature. It is especially useful in helping to solve problems of a multilevel nature, for example when situational embarrassment can obstruct a traditional examination. The test consists of a questionnaire that can be answered by hand or by computer. The patient answers questions appearing on video, or he/she can fill in the questionnaire with a pencil, which can then be scored by computer.
