This paper intends to examine the needs of the net generation users regarding library spaces. In the light of the data collected from 81 users from University of Hyderabad and Maulana Azad National Urdu University, the study looks into the preferences of users and whether the increasing use of Internet requires changes in the library spaces for the future generation. The modern academic community including teachers, students and researchers are more oriented towards using information available on the internet. There is a tendency of the users to spend more time on the web. Libraries are looked up on as learning spaces for collaborative and networked learning. The future of libraries lies in providing a platform to the users where they can converse, collaborate and share the information. Hence, library buildings in the 21 st century are moving away from traditional collection-centric to user-centric service rich libraries.

Entrepreneurial knowledge competencies can be defined as a person's ability to recognize and exploit intellectual assets opportunities and transform them into innovations which will lead to innovation performance and competitive advantage. However, there has been little discussion on entrepreneurial knowledge competencies among academic librarians especially when the devastating effect of the global economic crisis on libraries has pressured them to use entrepreneurial approaches to generate income and explore innovative ways for sustainability. The main objective of this paper is to explore the entrepreneurial knowledge competencies among academic librarians and the outcomes measured by top management. This research capitalized on a qualitative technique which involved interpretative and descriptive analysis of words to gain in-depth understanding of a specific phenomenon. The study is significant to academic librarians and library management for improving competency and upgrading their innovation performance.

This paper identifies entrepreneurial competencies and the outcomes measured as innovative performance demonstrated by academic librarians. By using a literature review, purposive sampling, multiple case studies and interviews we discovered that the antecedents of entrepreneurial competencies include recognizing opportunities, initiating innovation and strategic thinking. These antecedents influence academic librarians’ innovative performance which was evaluated based on generativity or idea generation, championing and idea implementation. This study explores entrepreneurial competencies and innovative performance in Malaysian research universities.

Academic entrepreneur's collective memories soft information, such as research ideas, expertise, experiences, academic skills, know-what, know-how and know-why which inevitability it is considered should made accessible. The Higher Education Institution needs to identify, collect, classify, verbalize and diffuse the Academic entrepreneur's soft information specifically research ideas present in the university for knowledge enrichment. This can be implemented by actively sharing the Academic entrepreneurs' research ideas with others. Actively sharing research ideas by Academic entrepreneurs will have great impact on the enrichment of their intellectual capability as most of the valuable knowledge resides in one's brain. However, as there is no specific medium to bring their research ideas into the surface and be visible to others, the precious research ideas still remain in the Academic entrepreneurs' brains. Therefore, the objective of the study is to explore academic entrepreneur's behaviour towards the development of a sharing research Ideas web portal at private university colleges in Selangor. This study used the qualitative method that is a multiple cases study.

Personal competencies are underlying characteristics of a person and consistent patterns in the way individuals behave, feel and think.  This paper identifies personal competencies and the outcomes measured as innovative performance demonstrated by academic librarians. By using a literature review, purposive sampling, multiple case studies and interviews we discovered that the antecedents of personal competencies are divided into personal skills (communication, negotiation, concern for others and team work) and interpersonal skills (time management, risk taking, passionate and energetic). These antecedents influence academic librarians’ innovative performance which was evaluated based on generativity or idea generation, championing and formative investigation. This study explores personal competencies and innovative performance in Malaysian public research universities.

Street racing has long been identified as a threat to civil society with significant social and economic impact. In Malaysia, the high fatal accidents rate involving motorcyclists performing illegal street racing has dominated the news in the local newspapers and social media and have caused legislators, regulators and the public to question factors that contribute to these issues. This paper is an attempt to gain greater insight into the factors influencing the risky behaviours associated to violating traffic regulations among the illegal motorcycle racers termed "Mat Rempit" in Malaysia identified in the literature. The findings of this review not only could be used as reference for future research but also as reference by the various authorities to understand the issues more closely.
