During producing a product using injection molding process, various of defects such as warpage, weld lines, shrinkage and sink mark can be occurred. A set of Optimal setting of injection molding parameters is very important to be determined after various trials has been made, because to reduce and controlling the quality on defect of the injection molded product. The purpose of this research is to optimize warpage and shrinkage defect on material Polycarbonate(PC) thermoplastic and simulate the injection molding process using Moldflow Plastic Insight software (MPI).Optical glasses has been selected as a product to be studied and design the model by using UNIGRAPHIC NX 7.5. The approach based on Design of Experiment has been implemented to analyze and optimize the processing parameters such as mold temperature, melt temperature, packing time, packing pressure, cooling time, cooling tempera...

This study was conducted to address this gap. Adopting a survey research methodology involving 115 Information Technology Professionals working in Malaysian Administration Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), the findings of the study reveal that out of the four clusters of emotional intelligence, only two turns out to be the significant predictors of organizational commitment. The findings further signify the importance of emotional intelligence in ensuring organizational commitment in the context of computer professionals.

Crystalline ciprofloxacin converted as amorphous during hydrogel formation. Hydrogel in disc form sustained the drug release drug up to 36 h. Irradiation cross-linked polymeric chain of CMSP resulted in controlled swelling.

Recent changes in the Malaysian academic environment, such as the categorisation of universities ... more Recent changes in the Malaysian academic environment, such as the categorisation of universities into research universities, comprehensive universities, and focused universities, have had an impact on universities' governance and academics' understanding of professionalism. It is against this background that our research on the definition and practices of academic professionalism was undertaken. In this paper, we present some initial findings, from two focus group discussions, on the meaning and practices of academic professionalism as understood by academics at a research university in Malaysia. How do academics define the meaning of the word 'professional'? Do they consider their career or profession at the university as 'professional'. If so, how do they define professionalism? How does the changing academic environment influence their views and practices on professionalism? These are among the questions that we address in this paper. Three major themes emerged from the focus group discussion: (a) diverse views on the definition of academic professionalism, (2) the dilemma between the individuals' and organisation's needs, and (3) effectiveness and consistency in the implementation of the organisation's plan.

It needs a highly complex set of knowledge and skills in order to bring a firm grasp of the subject under discussion. For a successful negotiation, an individual should possess good command of the language and communication skills. However, students fail to use the appropriate language expressions in "negotiation" simulation. Therefore, this study attempts to help students in carrying out "negotiation" simulation effectively by utilizing teacher's feedback as an input strategy. Recent survey has shown that negotiation can be carried out based on experiential learning and simulations as a teaching tool. Feedback is a powerful tool for learning as it often challenges students' way of expressing ideas and way of thinking. This paper aims to present review of literature related to the inquiry. A review of the literature was conducted using Sciencedirect, EBSCO, Taylor, Open Acess, Cambridge and other related databases. The findings will give insights on how to use feedback as a tool to help students in using the right language expressions which will enable them to perform effectively in "negotiation" simulation. It is hoped that this study will also assist teachers in providing constructive and meaningful feedback to students.

Using qualitative research methods, data was gathered via interview sessions with three groups of respondents who have excelled in the field of ICT, namely the academicians in ICT, the practitioners, and the students who have exhibited their intelligence in ICT. The data was analyzed and structured based on Gagne Differentiated Model of Gifted and Talent (DMGT). Based on DMGT, the data was categorized to natural abilities, interpersonal catalyst, and environmental catalyst. The findings of the study discussed the pattern of talent development among the gifted and talented individuals in ICT from the aspects of life background, educational background, education and experience in ICT, and the support factors towards talent development. The findings of the study indicated that gifted and talented individuals in ICT should be recognized as a unique talent at par with the other fields regarding the context of gifted and talented. Schools should provide the assessment methods as well as the sources to identify and develop the potential of another group of extraordinary individuals in the 21 st century.

Most of these students are adult learners who possess a Diploma in Health Sciences and are attached to various health institutions throughout Malaysia. These students had to take a preparatory reading course during their first year to facilitate reading health-related references which are written in English. In this course, the course designers assigned two assignments which the students needed to complete through the online forum discussion. The main aim of these assignments was to assist them in developing comprehension of the two units in the course materials which were in the form of hypermedia documents. Besides the given course materials, they were also encouraged to do further reading from the prescribed websites and other relevant sources related to the themes of the two units. Due to limited contact hours face-to-face, online forum is considered an important medium of communication particularly for distance learners who have little opportunity to attend face-to-face tutorials and discussions. Hence, this study was embarked on in order to find out the benefits of the online forum as a communication platform to enhance the students' reading comprehension of health sciences materials. This study adopts the qualitative approach whereby distance learners were interviewed to collect data. They were also given a questionnaire to corroborate the data from the interviews. The online forum threaded discussions of a set of class of 22 students were also analyzed. The results of this study prove that online forums do enhance the students' reading comprehension.
