This picture shows the challenge - 

I looked through my stash for as many blue papers I could find and some silver. I started with a white card blank and I coloured the image in blue markers.

Here is my desk:

On my pink score board you can see two mini albums and a couple of ATCs in progress.

Toward the back on the brown box is a new pot of Dr PH Martin's bleed proof white - ready for splattering.

In the centre is an old Christmas card that my aunt sent me three or four years ago - sadly she passed away this year, but the card is a lovely keepsake.

So we did three days of helping Sophie move into her new house - then we have had Ollie over night. I have just driven him home, then picked up Kevin who had a ukulele concert. All go and still not a lot of crafting going on!

On Saturday we go away for Christmas week...we have hired a holiday house for some of us to stay in, so we should be having lots of family time. Not sure if I will be posting next week at this stage! Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

My junk journal: the pages in this are 6 by 6 pieces of glitter paper taped together. You can see some of the tape in the folds and on some of the pages.

In the pockets of the junk journal you will notice the tags and also postcards:

I also made a set of pen and pad gifts: this is one of them using Card toppers

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - New Term #15

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team 

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

 I have used two images from Karen Yates' Hocus Pocus, the stars printed on a blue designer paper and the image on white paper

I am adding a page to a junk journal using upcycled cardboard. 

Layer 1

Printed stars on Designer paper from my stash. Stars coloured in with Art By Marlene acrylic marker. Black soot distress ink around the edges.

Layer 2

Face from Hocus Pocus covered with a variety of markers.

Layer 3

Hat and flowers cut from a background made using Distress Oxides and embossing folder.

Glossy accents on the flowers.

Layer 4

Shadow of grey around the images.  Splatter of white acrylic. Sentiment from my MGD drawer outlined with Posca pen.

Quite similar to last week but I have been making some ATCs out of upcycled Christmas cards to write little notes on...

Some were these - made from some wrapping paper that a friend has sent as an envelope...

I have also been playing with Distress Oxides and embossing folders to make backgrounds as you see on the left.

It has been a bit hectic here as our oldest son, partner and son moved into a new house at the weekend. We helped with some of the moving.

After several hours on Sunday we thought we would dip our toes in the swimming pool!

Then today our daughter settles on her new house - we are going to start moving her tomorrow...

As a consequence not a lot of crafting going on!

Here's my Birthday project...for Challenge #483 at Addicted to Stamps and More

I made a corner fold base and added various papers from my stash. The butterflies are die cut from a Tim Holts die. Inside I added more of the paper and butterflies.
