Addicted to Stamps and more - Christmas Challenge #437

Here's my Christmas project...for the Challenge #437 at Addicted to Stamps and More

For these cards I used dies and stamps from the Stampin' Up Decorated with Happiness Set.
I used Distress ink in rustic wilderness but decided this was not distinct enough for the sentiment, using black archival on the second card I made.

Hope you will enter the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge! Do hop over to see the fabulous inspiration from my team-mates!

CHNC challenge 609 for 27 August 2022 - embossing (wet or dry)

A new Christmas Challenge every Saturday!

Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge
with the theme 'embossing'.

Do pop over and see the fabulous inspiration from my teamies!

My cards today both started with glossy black card blanks.
I ran card through the Big Shot in the deer embossing folder.
I cut the ho ho ho die from the centre. The next step was to add Distress Oxide to the two sections and then stick them in place.

Gecko Galz Challenges

As you know images are provided for the Gecko Galz Challenges - and here are my projects for some of them:

A card involving layers of papers from my scraps and a chipboard.

Again a card involving layers of papers from my scraps. I coloured the image with shimmery water colours.

A page in one of my junk journals involving images of bats. A second copy of the free image was cut out and placed on dimensionals.

And the

Another junk journal page using Distress Oxides.

Butterfly Challenge #172 F for Faux Stepper card

The current theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #172 is F for Faux Stepper Card

and she gives instructions on how to make one here

It's a long time since I managed to join the Butterfly Challenge so I am very pleased to add a card today.

This is the wheel - I have used all the colours in the faux panels, colouring and paper from crafterschoice Bohemia Botanica

For the image I have used the Summer garden cut file from Alex Syberia - this produced the three layers in pink, green and cream using my Cricut. I then painted this with shimmery water colours, finally adding faux stitching with fine liners.

I will link this to Challenge #172 using all the elements from the wheel.

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Term 2 Post #2

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team 2022 - Term 2!

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

Today I am sharing a journal page which uses the image and paper from the July Challenge

I chose a denim page in my journal and decorated it with seedless preserves Distress Oxide through a Jofy stencil PS231 followed by white pen. I overstamped this with a PaperArtsy stamp from EGL29.

I printed the paper and then the two images on the same paper, cut them out and then added shimmery water colours.

I glued the images in place along with the sentiment.
Finally I added some scribbled pencil lines and Stabilo All around the images.

WOYWW #690

WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #690

This is where I have been working today:

I was making a set of ATCs ready for a swap - I shouldn't really post them until they are received but I don't think anyone in the swap will look.
I have been doing various things with my shimmery water colours - at the back is a card I made using my Cricut and an Alex Syberia svg, and then painting it.
There's an empty stencil packet - I used it in one of my journal pages yesterday (this will be posted tomorrow!). This is a new stencil - I received 4 packages of goodies this week. Lots of new things to play with!

I don't really have much to share this week - I've been side-tracked by other things. Babysitting one year old Ollie - I actually looked over him over night - a first!
And then I got a puncture, so I have spent quite a lot of time organising the car.
I did do one of the other workshops from that virtual retreat ( I now have 3 left to do!)
This was using Distress Oxides and stencils to make cards. These were my version:

To finish, a rainbow over the house:

Anyway, all for now - see you next week...

Happy WOYWW!

Summer Days are here at last - Outlawz songs and Rhymes

I do hope you will go and check it out!

Our sponsor for this month is Alex Serbia Designs

So please show a little love and visit their shop

Now on to the challenge!

Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is from Cara

Summer days are here at last,
Days of school are in the past,
Summer skies will turn to grey,
And summer's warmth will fade away,
Autumn comes and leaves fall down,
Winter comes, snow covers the ground,
Spring comes and brings new life,
And ends all of the winter's strife,
All the seasons come and go,
From the summer's heat to the winter's snow...
--- Katherine Knight ---

To play in this challenge you do not have to follow the Song/Rhyme to the letter. We only ask that you find something in the song or rhyme to inspire your card/project and that you tell us what your inspiration was in your blog post. (This is required to be eligible for the prize)

This is my inspiration,
inspired by the words "Summer Days are here at last"

I have used the Summer garden cut file - this produced the three layers in pink, green and cream using my Cricut. I added some black lining and the chipboard words embossed in shimmery green.

If you haven't already, please join our
to stay up on all the challenges taking place!
