Golden Gala Masque
The Golden Gala Masque is headgear in Splatoon 3.
It is a 2-star item produced by SquidForce and comes with the primary ability Tenacity. It is available from the Switch News channel as a promotion for the Friends vs. Family vs. Solo Splatfest. It cannot be ordered from another player.
Appearance
The Golden Gala Masque is a white masquerade mask with gold detailing, patterns, and outlining, it also features a little silver; the design on the player's right eye is their ink color, notably darker. It is large enough to cover almost the entire face.

Abilities
The Golden Gala Masque comes with Tenacity as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Last-Ditch Effort, or Opening Gambit. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Golden Gala Masque comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slots.

Etymology
Golden refers to the color of the mask, and gala might refer to a type of party with special performances, parties that these masks are usually worn at.
