Mom...

It's my turn to post on the Stuck on U Sketches Blog - using the Die-Cut Challenge for this week...MOTHERS.

Here's the card I made using some old paper in my stash. It came together pretty easily because I used the Cut Above Thank You Card Kit from CTMH...love what a different look I got just by adding some color to these card bases (and the envelopes come with it too!)...

--------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
And...the inside of the card...

Thanks for stopping by...don't forget to hop on over to the SOUS Blog and link up your die-cut project featuring "Mothers".

An Industrial HELLO with SOUS...

This week's Stuck On U Sketches Die-Cut Challenge is: INDUSTRIAL...

That can mean a lot of things to a lot of people...to me PLANES capture the true meaning of industrial.

This is a very simple HELLO card that can be used for someone travelling or maybe a masculine card, graduation, etc.

Don't forget to go check out the Stuck On U Sketches Blog and link up your Industrial Die-Cut Project before next Friday!

Hello Sunshine with SOUS...

It's my turn to post my CLEAR SKIES Die-Cut Project over at the Stuck on U Sketches Blog...you can use any die-cut that represents something you would see in the sky...

I started with a funky sun svg I had (I think it's from Miss Kate Cuttables)...

---------------------------------------------------
I separated the layers of the sun with Thin 3D-Foam Tape...I also added a little face stamped using CDD Totally Turtle...
--------------------------------------------------
I love this little touch of Washi Tape from CTMH...did you know that you can apply baby powder to anything sticky to take away the stickiness? That allows the tail of this Washi to curl up and not stick down...

Make sure you go check out the SOUS Blog and link up your own Die-Cut project featuring CLEAR SKIES before next Friday!

Best Wishes - In the Garden with SOUS...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches for this week's Die-Cut Challenge - In The Garden...

I love the peep window of the card on the left...and I added some piercings in the corner that I think add a little something extra! The centers to the flowers are clear buttons adhered to some B&T.

The card on the right is pretty simple but the Circle Irresistibles add some dimension! And...I love the pops of Smoothie Ink on the flowers!!!

Go check it out on the SOUS Blog and link up your In the Garden Die-Cut Project!

Lucky You with SOUS's Die Cut Challenge...

It's my turn to post over at the Stuck on U Sketch's Blog using the GREEN Die-Cut Challenge...

I have NEVER had green beer on St. Patrick's Day...well, I guess I've never had green beer ever!!! I really want some...not that I like the taste of beer but the pictures of me drinking green beer would look REALLY FABULOUS on this layout, don't you think!!!

-------------------------------------------
This file is actually a black cauldron from PPPR's Little Witches Cutting Files - hindsight I would've kept the cauldron black but I wanted it to be a pot of gold and wasn't thinking about it being black (uggggg). I do LOVE the "gold" in the pot....Gold Sequins with some gold Zazz Glitter Glue from my Gossamer Blue January Kit

I did a lot of stitching on this layout to match the stitched frame I used from PPPR...

--------------------------------------------------------
Isn't this LUCKY with all the varying greens pretty!!! I used CTMH Green Glitter Paper and Topiary Cardstock!

Most of my files came from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons...go check them out!

Don't forget to play along with the SOUS Green Die-Cut Challenge...you have 'till NEXT Friday!

All Dolled Up with SOUS...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches - playing along with the Die-Cut Challenge

--------------------------------------------------------
I do a lot of my shopping online so when the box comes, I have to have my daughter try it all on to make sure it fits. We usually do this little style show for my husband...I plan on taking pictures next time so I can fill these page with memories that will last my daughter a lifetime.

--------------------------------------------------
Here are some closeups - most of the clothing is pop-dotted with Thin 3D-Foam Tape for dimension...

Thanks for stopping by!!!

If you have a Cricut Explore and use Design Space, most of the files come with the monthly subscription and a few of them come from CTMH's Artbooking Collection!

Link up your project {{{{here}}}} before next Friday!

Soulmate...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches for the Key To My Heart Die-Cut Challenge...you can use any thing heart, key, love related and it must include die-cuts of some sort!

Let's take a look at my project...I started with the sketch from Pretty Little Studio and took elements from the sketch that I liked (stitching, multiples of the same shape and title placement)...
-------------------------------------------------------------
I used several files for this layout...Miss Kate Cuttables for the hearts and the title and PPPR for the heart lock and key. Paper is from CTMH's HeartStrings collection as well as For Always (retired).

--------------------------------------------------
Almost all of my layout have hidden journalling...this allows the layout to be uninterrupted by words and handwritten notes...plus, some times my journalling gets a little personal and I only want my family to read it....know what I mean?
-----------------------------------------------
At nothing screams LOVE more than Red Shimmer Trim...by adding the Chevron Punch along the stitched border, I was able to incorporate a little bit of bling without it being overpowering! I used my Stitch Guide to hand stitch the edges...a little tedious but well worth it, if you ask me!
I hope you'll take time to play along with our Die-Cut challenge by creating your own Key to my Heart project and link up {{{here}}}.

You can check out the Pretty Little Studio sketch I used here on my Pinterest Board (Layouts - 1 Page)

Warm & Cozy kind of LOVE with SOUS...

It's my turn to share a die-cut project for the Warm & Cozy Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches!

I'm throwing you all for a spin here and reaching FAR into my interpretation bag for this one...

These colors SCREAM Warm & Cozy to me...and who doesn't feel warm & cozy when they're in LOVE!!!

I used Cut & Paste - Charm paper by My Mind's Eye...

---------------------------------------------
I scissor-distressed the edges so you can see the teal B&T peeking through...
------------------------------------------------
I added a badge button from a retired CTMH Paper Packet...didn't like the apple pie on it so I covered it with a sticker that said "hello"...
--------------------------------------------------------
I sewed down the center of my LOVE die-cut to attach it to my card front...
-------------------------------------------------
Here's a peek at the inside...

We'd LOVE to see your Warm & Cozy Die-Cut projects...just head over the SOUS Blog and link them up before next Friday!

Here's a look at more of the Warm & Cozy paper from the MME Cut & Paste - Charm Collection...

And...here is the card that totally inspired mine!!!

Snow, Snow, Snow with SOUS...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches...and the Die-Cut Team is bringing you SNOW this challenge!

My entire layout was made from scraps I saved from some of these projects...made this layout come together pretty quick! And...this layout will go with this layout once I add some journalling!

I decided to go with a pretty neutral pallet since my son's coat is so bright...

---------------------------------------------
Here are some close-ups...I used Frosted Paper Packet from CTMH (retired)...luckily I stocked up on it because I have a LOT of snow pictures from this year (it doesn't snow very often in West Texas so I tend to take too many photos...lol)...
-------------------------------------------------
All the "snows" (plus more) were left over from this project...made it really easy...NO CUTTING!
--------------------------------------------------
I love how HAPPY he is and so glad I was able to capture it on film!

Don't forget to link up your own SNOW CHALLENGE before next Friday!

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm also linking up this layout to the BITTEN BY THE BUG 2 Snowflake Challenge...make sure you head over there and check out the Challenge and enter BOTH the SOUS Challenge AND the Snowflake Challenge!

Shake in the New Year - SOUS New Year Challenge...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches (SOUS)...Anything New Year is the challenge this week!

As some of you may know, New Year's Day isn't just a new year and another fail at remembering to write 2015...it's my baby's BIRTHDAY!!! My first baby...will be 20 :0( Cannot...believe...it!!!

I contemplated making a birthday card but chose to make a more traditional card...a shaker card with a little bling!

------------------------------------------------
The card shape  and wine glasses are from Lisa's Store (Pretty Paper Graphics)...and I can't remember where I picked up the clock face.

---------------------------------------------
Here's a close-up of the wine glasses...cut from a transparency sheet...
------------------------------------------------------
The HAPPY NEW YEAR was the Miss Kate Cuttables Freebie yesterday...I cut it apart and put the "New Year" on the inside...

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to link up your own New Year's project before the 9th of January! The ONLY rule we have is to use Die-Cuts!!!

Christmas Mug Gift Card Holders...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches...and the Die-Cut challenge this go-round is Anything Christmas!

Some call it lazy but I call it GENIUS...giving Gift Cards for Christmas! I'm surrounded by those people (friends and family alike) who are very difficult to buy for. They are either too picky to please or when they want something, they simply go out and buy it. So buying them something that they will have to go return or will never use is not an option for me!

All my friends LOVE Starbucks and what better way to package a Starbucks gift card than a coffee mug!

 -----------------------------------------
I jazzed up the mug by stamping one of the border stamps from Assorted Edges. I then added some red sequins from my stash for a little sparkle. Adding the bow and the first initial of the recipient finished it off. And not sure if you can tell or not, but I added Liquid Glass to the coffee to make it look real!

Thanks for stopping by...don't forget to link up your own Christmas Die-Cut project on the SOUS Blog!

Life is Sweeter - In the Woods with SOUS...

This week's Die-Cut Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches is In the Woods! Of course we want you to interpret this how you want...wait 'till you see my interpretation!

I decided to use a wood-grain overlay for my card to go along with the challenge...paired with Honey Ink and a Honeycomb Border Stamp.

--------------------------------------------
This little dragonfly was a perfect, simple touch to this card...I thought! And...some more of that Thin 3D-Foam Tape added the perfect amount of dimension in popping the sentiment piece off the card-front!
---------------------------------------------
I stamped some strips of Colonial White Cardstock and created a frame so the honeycomb pattern would carry over to the inside...here's a peek!
-------------------------------------------------
This was seal was a later addition...took me a while to figure out what the inside should say.

Here is the overlay I used for the die-cut wood-grain...

Get Your Game on with Paper Issues & SOUS...

My son played T-Ball for the first time this year and, as much as I dislike baseball, I actually liked T-Ball.

I was so happy we went ahead and bought the Team Pictures...had such a fun time scrapping these photos.  This, I'm thinking, will be an introductory page to a whole bunch of PML-style pages that will hold all of the photos I took at the games!  PML (pocket scrapbooking) is the way to go when you have SO MANY photos.

I'm linking up to Paper Issues (Get Your Game On Challenge) and SOUS (Sketch Challenge 11.07).

There's a BUNCH going on in this layout...obviously you have all the baseballs but I also added some Bronze Glittery Baseball Bats using the Brown Glitter Paper from CTMH. I would've added some Red Glitter Paper on the stars or baseballs but I didn't have any.

----------------------------------------------
I added dimension by pop-dotting some of the baseballs and the title "Love Baseball" with Thin 3D-Foam Tape

--------------------------------------------
I love that his photo package came with a few black & white photos and I love the addition of one of different pose on this page!
------------------------------------------------------
Look at all that dimension when you have multiple layers on a svg cut!!!
-------------------------------------------------------
I took one of the scraps of B&T used to cut some of the blue stars and used it between the photo and the baseballs...added some of the stars leftover (but used the backside of the B&T) for a contrast.

I used some Miss Kate Cuttables files and the baseball from CTMH Artbooking Cricut Collection...

Here's the SOUS Sketch I used...
