Royal Stamping Maid Search

The search for the next Stamping Maid is going well! We have received a lot of applications. There have been some changes to the process in how we will choose the new court member. So, the announcement will not take place on November 25th. It will be January 1. If you are sill in the running for the call, you will be in the loop and will be contacted by a QKD representative on November 26th. We have received so many great applications it is going to be hard to narrow them down. The office is buzzing with activity as we begin the review process. So, keep your fingers crossed.

We have another announcement also. The Royal Stamping Maid position has been changed from a 1 year term to a 6 month term. This will give more people the opportunity to create for us. So, if you don't make it this time, never fear!! You will be asked to re-submit for the new term in 6 months!

Please note that the date to have your applications in to us is still November 25th. Thank you.

Secret new designer...

So.. in my last blog entry, I spoke of a new designer from a far away land... Well.. Here are some of her creations!! She's just getting started in stamping and I see some real potential in her. She's been an active member of our blog and site for a while now and it's only fitting that she be on our team. She's working hard to help us grow and we thank her for that....

* graduated with an English degree, majoring in Creative Writing

* didn't think she was going to get into scrapbooking/stamping/altered arts 'coz she always got low grades in the Art subject

* very proud of her heritage

Sneeky Peeky.....

Since we've decided to release the December stamps on Black Friday.... I thought you'd all like to take a peeky at whats coming??? Well.. of course we have the new stamps from our NEW designer Anam!! And we also have some new stamps from me, Queen Kat! Bev has a new set out too, it's so adorable!!!

Here are some samples I made using some of the new stamps... This first one used the new Flakey Friends Set. It's out now.

This next one, I used the new Doodled Flower Stamp set. This flower rocks!!! It can be used for soo many things.

For this fun card, I used the new Large Flourish stamp from Bev's Collection. It will debut on Friday. I also used the Gift Stamp set that came out in November.

This is the Box It Background stamp. Everyone has been asking for textured backgrounds and more backgrounds in general... So here yah go. :)

This stamp is a fjun journaling block. It's great for the whimsy scrapper in you.

1 Kit left!!

We are so happy that our last kit of the year was a hit. We not only have 6" X 6" card kits now, but this month, we debuted our 12" X 12" scrapbookers kits!! We only have 1 12" kit left. The 6" card kits have sold out, as usual. :) The December kit is JAM PACKED with fun things!!! The retail value is over $35!!

We have decided to ship all December kits out on November 23rd... Black Friday!! So, snatch up that last kit and get in on the Christmas goodness coming from Queen Kat Designs.

Decmeber's Samples

The kit samples are up now!! We still have 1 6"X6" and 1 12" X 12" kit left!! The kits will be shipping early!! That's right... We've decided to ship the last kit of the year out early. They will be heading your way on November 23rd! Black Friday.. So, if you're lucky enough to score one of these fantastic kits... Be on the look out! Click the picture below to go see the rest of the samples!! From 1 6" X 6" kit, I was able to make 7 cards, 2 tags, and 3 double sided ornaments!! And I still have a ton of things left over. I bet I could get another 7 cards and at least 3-4 more tags out of them.... If only there were 26 hours in a day. :)

Big Things are Brewing!

There's gonna be some big things in the works for Queen Kat Designs over the next 2 months. January is sure to be the biggest month of our history. Over the next 7 weeks we will be dropping hints and having some fun here on the blog. The Design team is hard at work on samples for the new stamps that are coming. The stamp designers are working overtime to bring you what you want! You've asked for some pretty awesome stamps, we are trying to deliver! The first of the user requested stamps will come out December 1 with more to follow in January.

Queen Kat Designs Clear Stamps is looking for an active and exciting “Royal Court” member (design team member)! We are a 1 year old stamp company that’s looking to show our customers what our stamps can really do! We’re looking to add to our court with your help promoting our products as much as possible through your personal blog or any online galleries you may frequent.

About this position:
A “Royal Stamping Maid” is responsible for creating projects with Queen Kat Designs clear stamps. Our stamps are high quality photopolymer stamps that produce great images. Each month that we have new releases, you will be sent 1-2 new sets to work with. A minimum of 6 projects will be required for each set you receive. 3 of which must be greeting cards and the other 3 are up to you. Each project will need to feature the stamps you are working with to show others how they can be used.

You will need the ability to post your work on our gallery. You will have your very own album to show off in. You may use a scanner or camera. Our Royal Court members are responsible for the up keep of their own blogs and are asked to display a little banner or blinkie linking to Queen Kat Designs on their blog.

If the above description is something that you are up for, please email us at info @ katstamps . com we will send you the application to apply for a spot on the Royal Court. Terms are 6 months in length and will formally begin January 1, 2008. Applications will be taken until November 25, 2007 at 12pm MST. The new RC member will be contacted on or shortly after November 25th.

About Me Challenge

I'm posting the About Me Challenge info over here. We are almost done with it..

Week 1:
This is a fun way to really get to know yourself. For the next 7 weeks, we will have 1 new topic to work with. For this challenge, you will need some sort of album or journal.. You can also just create scrapbook pages if you want to.

Week 1: Make the cover page and back cover to your book. Make sure it represents you and things you truely like.

Each week you will create 2 pages to your book. You will need a total of 12 pages plus front and back cover. Topics will be posted here on Sat or Sun for the remaining 6 weeks. Make sure to post your creations in OUR gallery here at Queen Kat Desings. There will be one set up sometime this week.

Use your creativity and dig deep into your soul to create a great book of you. Try to think about who you are.. Not who you want to be or who you are not, but who you ARE and be proud of it.

Ok guys… how’s it coming? Is anyone taking the challenge?

Our topic for this week is…. What’s your favorite place(s) to travel to?

This week, you’ll do a 2 page spread on where you like to travel. Make it all about you and use the colors of the places you like to go.. Or what colors you think of when you think “I wish I was there”. Happy Creating.

Our topic for this week is…. What’s your favorite animal? (It can be a pet or a wild animal.)

So, we are 4 weeks in.. Are you learning new things about yourself? Are you discovering you like different things than you thought you did?

This weeks theme is Childhood Memories… What are your favorite childhood memories? Where were you when they happened? Who were you with? Why do you think they are your favorite?

Week 5:
I was thinking this past week.. What’s a good color theme? So.. the theme for this week is… What is or are your favorite colors to creat with? What color(s) do you use most on your handmade projects? Make a 2 page spread in your book about YOUR favorite creative colors!
