Tag Tuesday~Christmas Treat Bag

Hello all! I am back with another Tag Tuesday project for the Trendy Twine blog. I know Christmas is months away yet, but I am one that loves to plan ahead so I have time to make something personalized instead of waiting until the last minute, overwhelmed. The shining star of today's project is a darling Christmas Visitors Retro Tag.
This project was very simple! I grabbed a Mini Kraft Paper Bag, stamped on it with a stamp from the Merry & Bright stamp set and VersaFine Clair ink. In the future, I will use dye ink, not pigment on the kraft bags because the oils in the pigment ink created a slight shadow effect around the sentiment. After turning the top flap over, I simply adhered the top of the Christmas Visitors Retro Tag and two banners made from scrap pieces of patterned paper. I then tied a double bow of Holly Berry Trendy Twine to a Mini Wooden Clothespin to hold the bag shut. Now it is ready to fill with Christmas treats, a small gift, or a gift card! Simple, yet cute!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Firecracker Bag

Hello all!  This month we are sharing patriotic projects on the Trendy Twine blog.  It is always fun to use the patriotic twines of Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine and Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine!  Today I am sharing a "firecracker" treat bag.
I started by adhering strips of scrap papers from BoBunny Celebrating Freedom paper pad to the Kraft Tin Tie Bag.  I thought the stars and stripes paper looked like a firecracker, so I ran with that idea.  To create the wick of the firecracker, I took 3 long strands of  Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine, taped the center of the strands to the table, then proceeded to braid it using 2 strands together.  Bearly Art glue adhered it well to the bag.
I thought the front looked a little empty, so I added a sentiment strip.  The stars stamps are from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set and were stamped with Scrapbook.com Cardinal hybrid ink.  The USA stamp is from a retired Raisin Boat stamp set and was stamped in SB.com Midnight Blue hybrid ink.  Once that was glued to the bag, I added sequins from both the Blue Berry sequin mix and Jolly Shaker Medley.  I love using products for something other than their intended purpose, so I was happy to use two Christmas items on this project!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

These patriotic samplers are a wonderful way to get several colors of Trendy Twine and are on sale this month!  Each color is ten yards in length and is wound on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Bakers Twine~Thinking of You Treat Bag

Good morning!  Today I am posting for the Trendy Twine blog with this lovely tin tie treat bag.  It is great for any occasion or just to say "thinking of you."
I started with a Kraft Tin Tie Bag and added banners of patterned cardstock.  The hearts were cut with the GMD Lacey Lattice Heart die set.  Papers used were from the DCWV Flower Shop and Bright and Pastel foil stacks.  Before gluing the large heart on the bag, I laced Totally Raspberry Trendy Twine through the lace edge and tied it in a bow at the bottom.  I love the bold look it created!  The smaller heart is popped up with foam tape and I glued the sentiment strip to that.  The sentiment stamp is from none other than the new APB Greetings stamp set!  It is such a versatile set!  To finish off the bag, I added Raspberry Cupcake Sequins randomly.  Once the goodies are added, it is ready to give to someone to brighten their day.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

You can also find Totally Raspberry in the Rosy and Raspberry Cupcake Samplers.

Trendy Bakers Twine~Fall Tin Tie Bag

Hello all!  Today I am on the Trendy Twine blog with a sweet fall treat bag.  It showcases our monthly spotlight items of  Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine and a Kraft Tin Tie Bag.

I started with a Kraft Tin Tie Bag and added patterned papers from DCWV's Fall Gathering stack.  I wrapped Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine around the green paper before adhering it to the bag and tied it into a bow with long tails.  For the focal point, I used a Round Crow & Pumpkin Vintage Inspired Tag that was matted with more patterned paper and edged with more Totally Pumpkin Trendy Twine.
At the bottom of the bag, I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set in black ink, then filled the bag with candy!  Doesn't this make a lovely fall treat?!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Valentine Muslin Bag

Good morning friends!  Today I am posting for the Trendy Twine blog.  I am back with another Valentine's Day treat that uses products from Annie's Paper Boutique
I started with a Cotton Muslin Bag and decided to stamp images from the You & Me stamp set onto it.  Before stamping, make sure to add a piece of cardstock into the middle of the bag for stability and to prevent ink from transferring to the back of the bag.  The colors of ink I used were Scrapbook.com Mermaid, Candy Shop Pink, and Cardinal Red.  I used my stamp platform so I could double stamp because the bag will soak up a bit of the ink as you stamp.  I also used my embossing heat gun to thoroughly dry the ink before I did anything else with the bag.
Instead of using the tie that comes on the bag, I decided to change it up a bit and use Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine to tie it shut after I had filled it with treats.  I added a die cut heart onto the Trendy Twine before making the bow so it could be used as a tag.  A simple but unique way to present Valentine's Day treats!

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

There also have been SEVERAL new sampler sets added to the store, including Valentine's day ones.  Here is just one example called "Rosy".

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Chevron Christmas Treats

Hello and welcome to December with Trendy Twine!  Our featured twine for the month is Christmas Mint Trendy Twine which is a darling twist of lime green, bright red, and white.  Here is what I created for today's post.
I started with Light Green Chevron and Red Chevron Treat Bags and added an embossed sentiment from the APB Merry and Bright stamp set.  To emboss on the bag, make sure to use an embossing buddy, then I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink and Zing glitter black embossing powder and used a preheated heat gun.  It worked perfectly!
Once the bags were filled with treats, I added simple treat toppers from patterned paper.  The tags were fun to create!  I used the following APB products for them:  Kraft Tag-It, Christmas Mint Trendy Page Dot, Christmas Shaker Medley, and the sentiment from the APB Merry and Bright stamp set.  I also wound Christmas Mint Trendy Twine around the topper, threaded it through the tag and tied it in a bow.  I also cut a length of Christmas Mint Trendy Twine and saturated it with laundry starch and wrapped it around a pen barrel.  Once dry, it made and adorable curlicue to add to the tag as well!  Now these are ready to give as stocking stuffers.

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Happy Birthday Lesley!

Hello all!  Today the Trendy Twine DT and GDT are letting Lesley, the owner of Annie's Paper Boutique, how much she means to us on her birthday!!  Make sure to head over to the Trendy Twine blog to see the projects the other ladies have created.  I sent her a fun fold Hello Kitty card and gift certificate holder.
I made a triangle fold intersecting birthday card using THIS tutorial.  The papers are from a Cricut Hello Kitty package.  I created the Hello Kitty SVG in my SCAL4 software and cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.  The scalloped circle and patterned paper within it were cut with manual dies.  I also used a manual die from Pink and Main for the lace border.
The Hello tag was created with supplies from Annie's Paper Boutique which includes:  White Metal Rim Tag, Pink Midnight Trendy Page Dot, Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and a sentiment stamp from APB Smile stamp set.  The finishing touches were Raspberry Cupcake sequins, Pink Diamond Sparkling Gems, and some Wink of Stella glitter on the hairbow.
Here is what the card looks like opened up.  I added an insert that was die cut with a scalloped rectangle die and stamped with more sentiments from the APB Smile stamp set.
Next up, the gift certificate holder!  I printed a GC off from Amazon, folded it and slid it into a Biggie Glassine Bag.  I added a topper of Hello Kitty paper then decided a tag would be the perfect touch!
The supplies I used for the tag include:  Large Pink Tag-ItPink Midnight Trendy Page DotRaspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine and a sentiment stamp from APB You've Got Mail stamp set. To the bottom of the Tag-It, I added another lace die cut and strip of Hello Kitty paper.  The finishing touches were Raspberry Cupcake sequinsPink Diamond Sparkling Gems and I simply stapled it to the bag topper.
I hope you enjoyed this gift set and that Lesley does too!  Make sure to stop by the Trendy Twine Blog to leave her some birthday love.  Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Gift Card Gifting with Annie's Paper Boutique

Gift Cards are popular for gift giving, especially during the holidays. The Trendy Gals and Theresa have each created some beautiful GC holders using Trendy Twine, Packaging, and Christmas stamps.  Make sure to stop by the Trendy Twine blog to see them all!  This is a great way to add a little handmade touch to the gift. You can find all of these goodies at Annie’s Paper Boutique.  Here is the one I created:
I wanted to stick with a rustic Christmas theme, so I started with a Kraft Paper Pocket and created word art on it by stamping sentiments from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set in brown all over it.  I stamped the Happy Christmas sentiment in red on natural cardstock and glued a border and bow of Cherry Latte Trendy Twine on it.  That rectangle was popped up with foam tape for extra visual interest.  For a little extra sparkle, I added some sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley.
To create the tag, I trimmed a Natural Tag-It then rounded the bottom corners.  I stamped a star from the APB Merry Christmas stamp set in red and the words from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set in brown.  I added a couple of sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley, and a Cherry Latte Trendy Page Dot. Once I added the gift card inside (it was a perfect fit!) I punched a hole in the top of the Kraft Paper Pocket to add the tag with a tassel of Cherry Latte Trendy Twine.
Doesn't this project make you smile? Imagine that smile on your loved ones’ faces when they receive a personal yet versatile gift like one of these. You can find all of the different kinds of Paper Pockets HERE.
Now is the best time to stock up on any of the Annie's Paper Boutique Christmas stamp sets that you don't have yet.  Through this weekend they are only $12 each with free U.S. shipping!

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Spring Treat

Happy Thursday!  I am on the Trendy Twine blog today with this cute spring treat.  It uses our two featured items for the month of April, Pink Limeade Trendy Twine and a 2x8 Zip Bag.

I filled the 2x8 Zip Bag with Hershey's Nuggets...which are a favorite with crafters since they are easily customized by wrapping them with cardstock 1" wide x 3" long!  I added the top paper to the front side of the bag, then adhered a Spring Green Tag-It and a chipboard flower to it with Pink Limeade Trendy Twine.  The sentiment stamps are from the APB Choose Happy stamp set.  I also added a Kraft Brown Trendy Page Dot to the flower.  Last of all, I added Raspberry Cupcake sequins to finish off this fun treat bag!

Here's a closeup of this month's featured Trendy Twine from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine~Life Is Good Bag

Hello friends!  I am back with another blog post for the Trendy Twine blog.  Our featured twine for the month is Dark Citrus Trendy Twine.  It is a fun twist of navy and yellow that is perfect to brighten these last wintery days!  My project for today is a brightly colored treat bag.
I started with a small yellow glassine bag and added patterned paper from DCWV's Fiesta Forever stack.  I wrapped Dark Citrus Trendy Twine around the bag in two different areas.  The tag started as a Large Kraft Metal Rim Tag that I added more patterned papers to.  It is popped up with foam tape on the center of the bag.  I also added Peppermint Icicle Sequins with Glue Dots to embellish.
Once the treats were added, I folded down the top, punched two holes and added Hello Fall Trendy Page Dots and tied it shut with Totally Navy Trendy Twine.
