Shopping Bag Shaker Card

Kimberly, one of my very crafty Trendy Twine DT sisters, had a birthday earlier this week and she challenged us to create a girly birthday card and use sequins.  So here mine is!
I decided to create a shopping bag shaker card, because a girl loves to shop, right?!!  I used DCWV's Dear Jane stack of paper.  To tie the tag on the bag, I used Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine.
The bag, perfume bottles and the white flourish dies are all from Top Dog Dies.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Butterfly Birthday Card

Good morning!  Today I want to share a birthday card that I made multiples of recently.  I couldn't help myself!  These went together so quickly since all of the die cut butterflies on the card were from DCWV's butterfly paperie package.
These gorgeous vellum butterflies were the perfect focal point on my card.  I bent the wings up and only applied adhesive to the center body portion so the wings would be free from the card.
I added homemade enamel dots and a stamped tag with ribbon.  The tag is popped up with foam tape.
I can't wait to see what other people make with these fun butterflies!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Back to School Cards

Hello friends!  I just realized I forgot to share the cards I gave my boys on their first days of school!  So without further ado, here they are.
This card was for my kindergartener.  I kept it simple.  The patterned papers and chipboard die cut are from Kaisercraft's Class of '87 line.  I love the vintage feel it has.  I added some homemade enamel dots and light blue crinkle ribbon to finish it off.
This one was for my third grader.  He is a blessed with the ability to learn very easily, so I chose the A+ chipboard element for his.  Papers on this one are also from the same paper pack as the first.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Teacher Appreciation Shadowbox

I wanted to share the shadowbox I created for the blog hop I this past weekend.  It is for a teacher gift using files from SVG Attic's G is for Gratitude set.
I had so much fun embellishing it!  I added a pencil and a cross paperclip in the top left corner.  I tied a double bow around the pencil using Red Ribbon Candy and Hot Chocolate Crinkled Ribbons.
In the top right corner, I tied a bit of Grey Gray crinkled ribbon around a crayon.
I added a strip of ruler washi tape around the whole outside of the shadowbox.
Last, but not least, I glued an eraser at the bottom for the finishing touch.  The papers I used are from DCWV's new DIY Project Stack: Chalk Party.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Back to School Shadowbox

Good morning my crafty friends!  I am back again with another guest designer project for Fleurette Bloom!  This time it is a fun back to school project.
I created the shadowbox from Fleurette's I'm Wishing set.  It went together beautifully using papers from DCWV's Grade School and Kraft paper stacks.
For the pencils, apple and star I used the School Days collection.  They were the perfect accents to the shadowbox!
I also used Celebration and Aqua Midnight Trendy Twines, buttons, Skittles, a crayon and a paper clip to embellish it.
I used the shadowbox for a photo prop for my boys' first days of school!  They loved it.  I used a repositionable adhesive under the printed sign that I found online HERE.  That way I was able to use the same shadowbox for both of my school-age boys just by changing out the printable.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Monogrammed Photo Album

Good morning friends! Today I am sharing a photo album that I decorated for a gift.

I used the "M" from SVG Attic's Split Monogram and cut it out from black vinyl.  You can purchase the whole monogram set HERE or the single letters are also available.  The "M" is available HERE.
I used Times New Roman font for the last name.  The pretty papers I used to layer with are from DCWV's Black Currant stack.  The album had an opening in the front to slide this insert into.  It has a layer of plastic in front to protect it as well.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Love You Banner Card

Hello crafty friends!  Today I am sharing a card that I created using one of DCWV's brand new stacks called Happy Day.  The prints in this stack have a lot of pale pink, mint green, light browns and gray with gold foil.  It is so pretty!
I hand cut the banner pennants out of several different patterns inked around the edges and glued them to Totally Kraft Trendy Twine.  I cut the letters out on my Silhouette Cameo.  They are popped up with thin foam tape.  I made a rolled rose from a metal die that I have and glued it to the bottom right corner.
In the top left corner, I folded the paper down and stapled it with a gold staple.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Elmo Birthday Party!

Hello everyone!  I am very excited to be doing another creative post with supplies from Oriental Trading Co. today!  This one will be a little different from the others I have done, because this one is all about my youngest son's third birthday party.  He insisted on having an Elmo party and OT made it sooo easy for me to honor his wish.
The main eye catcher on the table was this amazing centerpiece!  There were different characters on the sides.  It is actually for a 1st birthday, but by simply cutting out white circles and colorful number "3"s, I was able to cover up the 1 that was on each of the balloons originally.  It also had a smaller Elmo and Abby to place on either side of the table.
The place settings were colorful and fun, perfect for a 3 year-old!  I used red paper plates for the meal and Elmo dessert plates.  I chose a solid yellow napkin so there wouldn't be a ton of prints going everywhere.  There was an Elmo cup with a red polka-dot paper straw in it and a party hat at each place as well.
Here is a close up of the cups and straws.  The cups have Elmo on one side and Cookie Monster on the other.
These fun Sesame Street confetti pieces were scattered on the table.  They came with the centerpiece!
I used bright paper bags for the party favors.
Here is a look that was inside the bags!  Birthday bubbles, neon squirt guns and fish print sunglasses!  Let me tell you, they were a HIT!
Here is the birthday cake I made him.  Nothing spectacular, but he loved it, so that is what counts!
Last, but not least, this is the card I made!  The papers were from EK Success' Sesame Street paper stack.  I used a stamp from Paper Sweeties, homemade enamel dots and foam tape from Oriental Trading behind the layered panels.
I thought I would make it easy on you and give you a list of all the Oriental Trading products I used, so you can see all the products at a glance:
Sesame Street 1st birthday tablecloth (there was no 1 on it, so it can be for any age!)
Foam tape (on the card)

So the next time you are planning a party, stop by Oriental Trading to find everything you will need!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

The review of these products is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the products listed above. I was provided the samples free of charge by Oriental Trading Co. and I provided my honest opinion. No other type of compensation was received for this review.
