More Criss Cross in Orange
First things first: I won a lovely gingerbread ornament at Yvonne W. Thank you Yvonne, they are too cute!

Betacarotin Top done
I am well pleased how this turned out. When I made the last couple of blocks I thought it was all going to be one big orange blob with no value changes, but thanks to some yellows and reds it does not look too bad. As for the top name, well have a look at the close up - photorealistic carrotts. So I started thinking about pumpkins and other orange fruits and vegetables and that is when the common denominator came to mind: betacarotin. This means that the wild brother's top is done and next is the blue one for the older brother.

FO
In just two days these fingerless mitts have joined my hand knits. Made from left over sock yarn they are the test object to see if they are practical for me.

How do you hang an on point quilt?
The lattice is actually more visible than I thought it would be, but now what do I do with it. I want to make it a wall hanging, but want to leave it on point as it is now. As the snowmen are seasonal, I want something that I can fold up when I am done with it. I have an idea, but am not sure what to use for it. Any ideas?

Brothers' Blocks done and new project
I have finally finished all my blocks for the two brothers quilts, so will start the laying out and sewing together shortly. First however as the season is coming up, I have been inspired by Garden Fence and had to try it for myself. The contrast for the fence is not quite as strong as I would have liked, but it will be a little 9 block seasonal hanging (on point if I can figure out how to hang it), so I regard it as learning experience. The fabric is all stash and has been for ages, so I am happy to find a home for (some) of it.

Do not feel like knitting
I don't really feel like knitting at the moment, but then I do not feel like reading either and sewing on the train is a pain. Bah! I hope it is just being tired of winter and not one or the other of the viruses and bazilli.

Half way
I have now 65 blocks in each colorway for the brothers' quilts. If I was making only one 117 blocks would be enough, so half way there!

Moody Purples
My newest socks, only finished yesterday and already worn today. The color is slightly off due to the flashlight, but you can see the pattern.

Brothers' Quilts
I started two new quilts for two brothers I know. I will need 117 blocks for each, they are both going to be Bonnie's Criss Cross Applesauce with reversed colors: blue and orange.
As of yesterday I have 16 out of 234 blocks.
