The study covered all those well-established public and private sector universities of the province which were chartered by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and recognized by HEC (Public= 18 and Private = 9, Total 27 universities). The newly established universities which were housed in rented buildings and had no proper library facilities were excluded from the study. Data was collected from the library professionals of universities through structured questionnaire. Results of the study show that University of Peshawar was established following the birth of Pakistan in 1950 and is generally known the "mother of all universities". After independence in 1947 till 1995, the total number of universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, both in public and private sectors were five which has now reached to 37. Centralized library system is the most dominating in all the private and majority of the public sector universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Budgets are randomly allocated for collection which varies from millions to thousands. The collection of university libraries includes both traditional and electronic resources. However, access to most of the electronic resources is provided through HEC Digital Library. University libraries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa serve a wide range of users including graduates, post graduates, researchers, teaching community, administrative staff and to some extent the external users.

Moreover, the development of art, science and literature can be assessed historically through the use of these writing available in manuscript form. They throw enough light on the times in which they were written. It is a record of the knowledge, aesthetic literary and creative skill of the period in which they were written. Manuscripts are therefore essentially thought to be the most important element in tracing on the human heritage.Since earlier knowledge along with religion came to this part of the world through Central Asia, therefore most rather all such records are available in the prevailing languages of the time like Arabic, Persian, Turkish or Pashto. The University Campus5 at Peshawar is a conglomeration center of knowledge. Emerging with Islamia College in the early part of the last century, it had by now grown into four universities with couple of dozen institutions. The manuscript repositorie...

A total number of six madrasah libraries were surveyed to identify their number of collections, building, selection of materials, acquisition, cataloging, classification, preservation of materials, types of users, the timing of the library, staff, source of income, and problems facing by these libraries. The researchers personally visited the libraries and collected data from in charge librarians through questionnaires and informal discussions. The study finds that few libraries have rich and large collections. The majority of the libraries are stored in a single large room. The selection of materials is based on the requirements of students and teachers which is predominantly carried out by the teachers. The maximum collection was built through purchase. No proper system of cataloging and classification was found in these libraries. The study identified that some traditional methods of preservation and conservation are adopted to protect their collections. The majority of the libraries provide open access to every type of

It also explores the research trends in LIS, identifies gaps, and presents an agenda for future research by LIS scholars. The origin, development, and current status of postgraduate programs in LIS schools are also discussed. Data were collected by using a self-structured questionnaire, by consulting previous research studies, and through personal communication. Findings show that although the number of LIS schools in Pakistani universities has risen to 12, just 5 offer MPhil and PhD programs. A lack of PhD faculty members in LIS departments is the major hurdle to offering MPhil and PhD degrees. However, many Pakistani LIS professionals are pursuing advanced degrees, with 87.5 percent of the total theses produced in the last five years. Up to 2015, 19 library professionals have earned PhD degrees and 125 have achieved MPhil degrees from different Pakistani universities. Moreover, presently a huge number of scholars are enrolled in postgraduate programs at LIS schools. At present, research is primarily conducted by library schools either in the form of Master's theses or on a voluntary basis by individual faculty members. The amount of research and its quality is limited, but still the major areas of research have been crystallized and the foundation has been laid for more serious work on various topics of interest by future researchers.

However, IFSs deal only with anticipation, not periodicity. To do so, complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets (CIFS) can handle uncertainties and periodicity simultaneously. Also, the Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) operator is a better tool for dealing with the criteria's interrelationships. As a result, this article presents a multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) approach in the CIFS setting, which draws inspiration from the CIFS and MSM operators. We develop complex intuitionistic fuzzy partitioned dual Maclaurin symmetric mean (CIFPDMSM) operators and their weighted form by considering that all the criteria can be arranged into some groups. The proposed operators deal not only with interrelationships between criteria but also with partitioned relationships among criteria. Some properties of the proposed operators are discussed in detail. Further, an MCDM approach is developed based on the proposed operators in the CIFS environment. To show the effectiveness and application of the developed method, we also present a numerical example for selecting computer network security systems. Finally, the method is compared with the existing technique to demonstrate the proposed method's applicability and feasibility. INDEX TERMS CIFS, CIFPMSM operators, CIFWPMSM operator, MCDM method. I. INTRODUCTION When dealing with multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems having uncertainty, the fuzzy set initiated by Zadeh [1] is one of the better tools. However, fuzzy sets only evaluate the level of pleasure or dissatisfaction only. To overcome this shortcoming, Atanassov [2] introduced the notion of the intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) as a generalization of a fuzzy set. The IFS is characterized by membership and non-The associate editor coordinating the review of this manuscript and approving it for publication was Ugur Guvenc. membership degrees belonging to the closed interval [0, 1] such that their sum is less than or equal to 1. After the appearance of the notion of IFS, many scholars have paid attention and applied the concept to many real-life decision-making problems [3], [4], [5], [6]. In [7], Bonferroni established the Bonferroni Mean (BM) operator to investigate the interrelationship among the criteria. The BM technique has been utilized to address a number of DM difficulties in recent years [8], [9]. Liu et al. [10] presented certain interaction partitioned Bonferroni mean (IFIPBM) operators for intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). Secure information sharing has become very popular in immigration, military applications, healthc... more Secure information sharing has become very popular in immigration, military applications, healthcare, education and foreign affairs for the past few years. The security and privacy of such type of information cannot easily be compromised because the secure communication utilizes both wireless and wired communication media for exchanging sensitive information. Voice over IP (VoIP) offers many unique capabilities to its users. An important robust dynamism behind the use of IP telephony is cost savings, especially for businesses with large data networks. By transporting voice traffic over IP-based networks, businesses can decrease or abolish the toll charges related to carrying calls over the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) promises simple and efficient management of multimedia sessions amongst several users. To improve the security, integrity, authenticity and privacy issues while sharing sensitive information, numerous authentication schemes or set-ofrules have been recommended by different researchers in recent times. These authentication schemes are vulnerable to prospective security flaws e.g. replay attack, masquerading, insider attack, impersonation, password guessing, server spoofing, Denning Sacco and denial-of-service (DoS). Further, these schemes also fail to deliver mutual authentication. Almost, no researcher claims with conviction about a foolproof secure authentication scheme. This research mainly focuses on designing VoIP system based on SIP scheme that caters all the weaknesses in these schemes having low computation costs and low communication complexity and low storage overhead and shows a significant balance between performance and security. The proposed protocol also offers mutual authentication and reliable information delivery between user and server. A provable formal security analysis for the scheme will also be established mathematically, using BAN logic of authentication.
