Tutti Designs - Pink Poinsettias

Hello Dear Friends!
Today I have a wintry scene to share with you using some old AND new dies

This die set is so beautiful, I just had to use it as the main focus of my creation!

Dies used today are:

TUTTI-591 Poinsettia Arrangement

I have colored my poinsettias with alcohol markers
and used Nuvo for the centers.
Once colored, I also turned it over and used a stylus to create
depth in the petals.

In order to bring full focus to this beautiful die, I have kept my background very simple
but was still able to add some texture by using an embossing folder.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Proud to be a GREAT Grandma!

Hello my friends!
For those of you who don't follow me on FB or on any of my design teams
I just wanted to make a short post to let you know (and brag a bit) about the fact
that I became a GREAT grandma on September 7, 2019.

Meet Charles Frank Delawder (aka  Charlie)

He was a month early and weighed in at 5lbs. 6 oz & 18 inches long.
He was in the NICU unit of Magee Woman's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA for a couple of weeks but we are thrilled to now have him home and doing well.  Of course there's always that 'adjustment' period for him as well as the new parents but I'm sure they will have it all figured out soon.

We were all able to get together at my mother's house this past Thursday and get some FIVE-GENERATION photos even though mom wasn't up to par!  Not by a professional photographer but they still turned out great and was more comfortable for my mother (age 89) and baby Charlie (age 2 weeks).  How blessed are we to be able to share this moment together.  My Mom is SO PROUD!!  And, even though she was having a bad day and ended up at the hospital after these photos were taken, she LITE UP upon seeing Charlie for the first time this day.

My mother (GREAT Grandma Great) ... she likes being referred to as Grandma Great by her grandkids and great grandkids.

Me ... known to my grandkids as Nana and I guess that's what Charlie will call me too!

My daughter (aka  GiGi) will be such a fabulous grandma to Charlie!

He is such a Gift from God!
Morgan had a very difficult pregnancy and unfortunately this will be the only child she will bare but that's okay because he will be loved beyond belief.  Welcome to the family little Charlie!

Morgan & her husband Mark are so thrilled to be able to place Charlie into his GREAT GREAT Grandma's arms!!

Thanks for taking a peek and letting me BRAG about Charlie!  It's been 22 years since there was a baby in the family and we just feel SO BLESSED!  GOD is GOOD!!

HUGS & BLESSINGS to ALL!

P.S.  Mom (Great Grandma Great) was released from the hospital today
and is doing much better.  She'll be back to singing and dancing in no time!  LOL

Dies R Us Inspiration Blog - Let It Snow!

Hello my friends and welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm sharing a creation for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog where I've used several dies available at the Dies R Us Store to create this fun wintertime scene.

The dies used on this creation are:

Memory Box - Dies - Open Studio - Wrapped Stitch Frames

Yvonne Creations - Dies - Celebrating Chirstmas - Pine Trees

Poppystamps - Dies - Curious Fawn
Poppystamps - Dies - Cute Fawn
Sue Wilson Designs - Mini Expressions - Let It Snow
Here are a few details on creating this card . . .

After die cutting my trees from scraps of white card stock, I added sponged touches of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink - Lucky Clover to indicate some of the pine branch showing through the snow.

My cute little deer were also cut from scraps of white card stock then colored using another Tim Holtz distress oxide ink - Walnut Stain.

To create my snowy ground cover, I simply cut a scrap of white card stock to length that would fit inside my frame then tore it.  Gluing down the first panel then place/gluing the second panel in behind the first.

Next I positioned my trees and glued down the lower portion.  Leaving the upper portion loose for dimension since I intended to pop up my frame after adding my falling snow.

I've used a white gel pen to create my snow.  I placed my frame die down on my paper to use as a guide since I didn't want snow around the outside of the frame.

Next it was time to put all my pieces together and finish my card.
With the finishing touch being the sentiment.

Sisterhood of Crafters - Friendship

Hello dear friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over

Our hostess today is Debbie and the theme she has chosen is:

FRIENDSHIP

Here's what I have to share ...

I created this card by actually fussy cutting into a 6x6 panel from the Mintay by Karola 'Dreamer' paper pad.  In fact, I created TWO cards using this same sheet.  I don't make square cards because of the extra postage so I  turned this one panel into two cards ... here's the other card.

At the back of the paper pad are a few sheets of little accent squares that coordinate with the papers.  On both cards, I've done additional fussy cutting for my accent embellishments.

I hope you'll come join in our challenge fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters!

Tutti Designs - Merry & Bright

Hello Dear Friends!
Today I have a wintry scene to share with you using some old AND new dies
Today's card consists of double sided holiday designer paper, glitter paper, foil paper, red glitter glue and fabulous Tutti Design dies.  The dies I have used today are:
TUTTI-583 Christmas Bells
TUTTI-128 Merry & Bright
By using double sided designer paper, I was able to die cut my rectangles using the largest and third largest dies then flip over the inside panel to showcase the flip side of my paper as well as make my Christmas Bells stand out more.

My bells were die cut using green glitter paper
but my ribbon was cut from red foil paper then filled in
using red glitter glue.
As you can also see in the above photo, I added some hand done
faux stitching around the inside edge of my stitched frame just to
add  a little more attention to the stitching of the die cut.

I fussy cut the sentiment from the original die cut
from red card stock and think it worked out beautifully!
Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store
and check out all of the fabulous dies available.

Dies R Us Inspiration - Belated Birthday Wishes

Welcome back friends!
Today I'm sharing a belated birthday wishes card using product from the Dies R Us Store.  If you're anything like me, you need at least 1 or 2 of these cards in your stash.  Time goes by so fast that I seem to always be late with my birthday cards these days!  LOL

The dies I've used today are:

Paper Rose - Dies - Bunch Of Balloons

Sue Wilson Designs - Mini Sentiments Collection - Belated Birthday Wishes

Paper Rose - Dies - Stitched Rectangle Frames

I began my card by die cutting two white balloon panels
and gluing those together, then from scraps die cut just the balloon portion
of the die to do a little paper piecing.

Being sure to color my 'strings' before
gluing down my paper pieced balloons.

Next came the frame for my paper pieced balloon bunch.  Once again,
I've die cut two panels and glued them together for dimension.
I spotted a scrap of rainbow colored designer paper in my stash and thought
it would work nicely to showcase my balloon bunch.

So I adhered it to the back of my frame and cut off the excess.

My balloons have been popped up using Thermoweb 3d Foam Squares
Thermoweb - 3D Foam Squares - White .5" 88/Pkg

Did you notice the couple little extra stars?  They are the ones that popped out of the largest balloon in the die and I thought added a little extra coordination in my design.

I hope you've found inspiration from today's card!

Double D - Focus on the Sentiment

Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
I'm happy to say I am your hostess today and my theme of choice today is:

FOCUS ON THE SENTIMENT
(sentiment of your choice)

Here's the mood board I created to help inspire you . . .

I have had this sentiment stamp for a few years now and purchased it while attending the spring time Adventures in Stamping convention held in Akron each year.  And the manufacturer is QKR Stampede.  What do you think?

LOL ... what fun!!

I 'just happened' to have a paper pad by the Paper Studio (purchased at Hobby Lobby) called Blue Barn and this panel of cow paper was just perfect for my sentiment.  The little colorful farm animal panel was also in this paper pad and I thought it would add the perfect touch of color.

I have used the Tutti Designs Tag die set to showcase my sentiment.

The ribbon I've used is very old (purchased at either Joann's or Hobby Lobby years ago) and since it was at the end of the roll ... I decided to show it some final love.

The prize being offered this challenge is this fun
Pink & Main 'Happy' die set.

REMEMBER:  We have a fun prize to give away to one lucky player,
which will be chosen by Random.org
ALL are welcome to enter ... we will ship internationally!
