Double D - Christmas Tree

 Dear Ones~
It's getting close to Christmas, and this time our challenge over at Double D is Christmas Tree. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

 This is my card:
I had a good time making this card. I was inspired by the work of Eileen Godwin. Her cards are amazing, HERE is one of her videos. I cut a circle to mask off the 'moon', and it was fun drawing all those lines. Try it, I think it makes a card really interesting. I added some silver splatters for texture.

The Ingredients:

GKD White & Turquoise Sea Cardstock
Tim Holtz Silver Metallic Cardstock
Lavinia Stamps Small Pine Trees Stamps
Versafine Claire Black Ink
 GKD Turquoise Sea Ink
GKD All At Once - Holiday Season Stamp
Stash Silver Ink

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win this fabulous die set.  Also, don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created.

So, until next time dear readers, ASPIRE to be INSPIRED.

Can You Handle the Pressure - POINSETTIA

Dear Ones~  There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure.   For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on your project.  Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design.  Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.

The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:

POINSETTIA
 Here is my sample:
I found this random embossing folder in my stash. I have no idea where it came from - maybe in one of those magazine bundles?? I really like it and will probably use it more. I adore this Elizabeth Craft Designs poinsettia die set. The dies are really detailed. All I had to do after cutting them out in red cardstock was to sponge a little dark red and white ink on them. The greeting is from Simon and it's by Cathy Zielske. I love that it's in French.

The Ingredients:
GKD Red Velvet & White Cardstock
Tim Holtz Gold Metallic Cardstock
Stash Embossing Folder
Stash Flourish Die
Elizabeth Crafts Designs Florals 29 for Poinsettia
SSS Joyeux Noël Die for Greeting
