Red Force is a steel launched roller coaster located at the resort PortAventura World in Salou, Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. It opened as part of a new development called Ferrari Land on April 7, 2017.[1]
The ride is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe, as well as the tallest giga coaster in the world. While it may be mistaken for a strata coaster, as it has a similar layout to that of Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point and Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure, Red Force is a giga coaster because it is 112 metres tall. It also has the fastest LSM launch in the world.[2]

|
Red Force has a dark grey track with red supports. It uses the new style of Intamin track. There are three large Ferrari logos, one on each side of the tower. There is also a seating area adjacent to the launch track.
Riders are accelerated to 180 km/h in around 5 seconds. The launch is powered by linear synchronous motors with supercapacitors, being used to reduce peak power demand.[2]
Trains
3 trains with 3 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 12 riders per train. Riders are held in by pull-down lap bar restraints, similar in style to the restraints on Taron at Phantasialand.
