ABSTRACT: South Asia is sandwiched between the "Golden Triangle" and the "Golden Crescent". Geographically Bangladesh located at the heart of the three drug producing regions: In the East of Golden Triangle; In the North of the Golden Wedge; and In the West, across India, the Golden Crescent. Bangladesh is the main transit point for heroin trafficking to Europe from Southeast Asia. Bangladesh is the signatory of all the three U.N conventions on drug abuse and trafficking; and also the signatory of the "SAARC Convention on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, 1990".This paper seeks to address the problems of drug trafficking in Bangladesh and how to eradicate those problems under the domestic legislations and as well as under SAARC Convention on Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and under other International conventions or by any other way. This paper also discuss on What is the current status of the drug trafficking in Bangladesh? What are causes of drug trafficking in Bangladesh in the context of South Asia? What are the effects of the drug trafficking? and How the SAARC Convention on Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances can be implemented through the domestic laws of Bangladesh? It will also focus on how can drug trafficking be eradicated from Bangladesh?

Human trafficking is not the recent issue. Since the early history of the world the trafficking was there. The South Asia is most vulnerable in position in the world to human trafficking. In South Asia, Bangladesh, India and Nepal are most vulnerable in relation to human trafficking. The international community considered that the human trafficking is a grave violation of human rights. There are many reason for the trafficking including poverty, illiteracy, globalization etc. The main purpose of the human trafficking is the forced labour, debt bondage, child labour and sexual exploitations. Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions are generally regarded by conventional intellectual property system as being in the public domain and free for anyone to use. Indigenous people, local communities and states argue that this opens up Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions to misappropriation and misuse. Traditional Knowledge includes specific knowledge, skills, innovations and practices etc. Many states mainly the developing states believe that the Traditional Knowledge and the Traditional Cultural Expressions should be protected as a form of intellectual property. For example, indigenous "folk song" can be protected as copyright under intellectual property law. According to Bangladesh Copyright Act 2000 (as amended 2005), the owner of the TK or TCEs can prohibit the stakeholder to apply for copyright. Bangladesh has many traditional knowledge and traditional cultural expressions. The "Lalon Song", some indigenous medicines, dance forms, songs, etc. are being misused by the people. Sometimes people make huge money by selling or using these traditional knowledge and cultural expressions. Bangladesh should take necessary steps by incorporating national legislations and also by applying the TRIPS Agreement to protect traditional knowledge and the traditional cultural expressions.

Pollution is now the greatest dangerous threat to humanity. Nowadays, everyone is scared of pollution more than nuclear blasts. Human well-being and economic prosperity have made environmental conservation a critical global issue. Bangladesh is dealing with a number of environmental issues, including deforestation, land degradation, air pollution, water contamination, and biodiversity loss. In Part II (Fundamental Principles of State Policy) of the Bangladesh Constitution, Article 18A states, "The State shall strive to protect and develop the environment, as well as preserve and safeguard natural resources, biodiversity, wetlands, forests, and wildlife for current and future inhabitants." However, Article 8(2) of the aforementioned Constitution stipulates that the fundamental principles outlined in Part II of the Constitution are not judicially enforceable. As a result, it is apparent that Bangladesh's Constitution does not contain any direct environmental protection. Furthermore, Bangladesh's Constitution does not recognize the right to a healthy environment as a fundamental right. Despite the adoption of several laws and regulations, environmental pollution in the country persisted. This paper is qualitative in nature. The main purpose of this paper is to deliver a brief outline of the current legal regime dealing with the environment, as well as to identify environmental dispute resolution procedures within Bangladesh's existing legal framework. It will also investigate the legal hurdles to pursuing environmental justice. This study presents some observations on achieving access to environmental justice for all population groups in Bangladesh.

Despite having an increasing trend of research on post-disaster reconstruction, the understanding of the concept of construction workers’ health and safety at the post-disaster reconstruction phase is still unexplored. The objective of this paper is to explore the scope of research within the area of postdisaster reconstruction and to identify a knowledge gap in the context of construction workers’ health and safety. This literature study also identifies the importance of establishing a difference between regular construction and post-disaster reconstruction within the context of construction workers’ health and safety. The experiment was conducted at the Agronomy Field laboratory, Department of Agronomy, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh to evaluate the effect of variety and boron on the growth and yield of French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) during November 2017 to March 2018. The experiment was comprised two factors involving three varieties viz. BARI Jharseem-1, BARI Jharseem-2, BARI Jharseem-3, and four Boron doses viz. 0 (No boron), 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 kg B   ha-1. Borax was used as a source of boron. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The result exhibited that yield and its contributing characters were significantly influenced the variety and boron applications.
