The world we live in is a global one. It's a global world with a global economy which is why it was upsetting seeing all those bloggers who would rather block readers in the EU than make their blogs GDPR-compliant last month. It's also upsetting that some humans believe in isolationism and that it's not a global world but a "me-first" world. It's a good thing it's a cats' world and it's about time. We need to take over leadership!
Unfortunately us cats inherited a very messed up, confusing world where humans can't get along with one another. If you see a colony of community cats, there are cats of every color and breed. Some domestic cats even get along and share their homes with woofies and other species.
If you follow Alaa, the Cat Man of Aleppo, he grants asylum to migrant cats every day who are escaping sure death on the streets. Mother cats are not separated from their kittens. Each cat is welcomed by the population of Il Gattaro de Aleppo. Cats know compassion, which makes us better.
Last year I shared the anthem "Cats Have the Whole World in their Paws." This year I have a new one. You'll find the lyrics in the graphic above. I hope you'll sing along and maybe make up your own verses. It's a world of Somali, Russian Blue, Scottish Fold, Persian, Burmese, as well as cats from every nation. They are all beautiful; they're all equal.

CK, you are awesome, spreading the word about cat world domination! It's every day, of course, not just today. Humans, I guess, need us to lead the way because apparently they can't lead themselves very well, can they?

Mom says she has read the posts every year since it started but last year she missed posting as she was between cats...I had not yet arrived but she knew I was on the way! It took a while to find someone who could bring me on te plane from Tehran to Vancouver. I must say I LOVE your song and your graphics ar marvelous darling!

ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike. Actally, I woke TBT up in the middle of the night to tell him bout the inmage I wanted him ta make. He had doubts about finding it, but he did search and search and found my "last thing a mousie sees" pic and went from there.

Cats set a great example for humans--if the humans would only pay attention. I wonder if Disney will do a new ride based on "It's a Cat's World." They totally should!
