BoM Credit Card

Our Bank has launched its own Credit Card known as “BoM CREDIT CARD” as part of retail business
expansion strategy. Bank can issue card in tie-up with channel partners Visa and Rupay card. Credit
card can be used in India as well as abroad.
The salient features of BoM Credit Card
1. Name of the Product : BoM CREDIT CARD.

2. Purpose of Credit card : To cater the need of customers for performing day to day transactions
like paying various type of bills, online purchasing at various ECOM site, POS merchants
transactions and withdrawal of Cash from ATM .

3. Sourcing of application:
 Existing housing loan/Cash credit/ Business Term loan account having sanctioned limit 25. lac
and above with 2 yrs standing.
 Existing CASA accounts having average balance more than 1 lac for last 6 month.
 Employee of Government having salary accounts with us.
 The staff members who are not eligible under existing staff scheme can apply in public
scheme.
 The customers maintaining good deposit balance, good track records and good
repaying capacity with us.

04 Basic Features:
Annual fee is waived for 1st year, If customer’s annual purchase txn is above Rs. 30,000/-, the annual fee
will be waived from 2nd year onwards else AMC is Rs.500 plus GST.
 Facility to covert big spent into installments (purchase txn of Rs. 5000/- and above) with attractive ROI.
 1% Fuel surcharge will be waived for purchase of Petrol/Diesel of amount Rs. 500/- to Rs. 4000/- Waiver
will be maximum Rs. 200/- per month per card account with an annual saving of Rs. 2400/-.
 Accidental Insurance cover of Rs. 2.00 Lakh will be provided.
24*7 service will be provided by NPCI under VISA/Rupay card networks.
 Domestic lounge facility: Complementary visit to select 30+ domestic lounges in 17 cities in India.
Bank is providing Balance transfer facilities from other Bank credit card with and without EMI.
 The card transactions in Contactless mode at POS machine upto Rs.5000.
5. Eligibility:
The salaried /businessman/self-employed/professional applicant should have minimum yearly
income of Rs. 3,60,000/-.

The CIBIL score should be greater than 750. For customer no credit history, having CIBIL score1 or -1
are also eligible.
Relaxation in max. age upto 75 yrs. And/or CIBIL score between 700-750 under the sanctioning power
of Zonal Manager.

The card will be issued to Resident Indian only i.e. cannot be issued to NRI etc.

No credit card of applicant should be written off as per CIBIL report or any dues or have become NPA
in the past 24 months. To be checked from CIBIL report of customer.

6. Age limit: 18-65 yrs, Add on cards holder should be minimum 18 yrs. For BOM staff 75 yrs.

7. Validity of Credit Card :


05 years from the date of issuance.
8. Compatibility of card:
 All cards are compatible for POS, ECOM and ATM transactions(our cards do not support one
factor authentication).

9. Quantum of Credit card limit :


 Rs. 1,50,000 and for HNI (High Net worth Individual) customer, CPC can sanction credit limit up to
3,00,000/- , the limit upto 5Lakhs can be sanctioned by the General Manager handling the credit card
cell. The limit above Rs.5lakhs can be sanctioned by CAC committee of General Managers.
Cash Limit : 20% of the total limit sanctioned.

10. Billing Cycle :


 Bill date 10th , 25th of every month
 Due date for payment 25th , 10th of next succeeding months.

11. Interest free Credit Period:


 15 to 45 days based on the date of transaction (applicable only for the customer paying entire
dues before due date.
 For ATM cash withdrawals free credit period is not applicable.
12. Documents details :
 Identity proof –One photo, Aadhar & PAN is (mandatory), Voter ID, DL and Passport.
 Address proof – Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport, DL, Electricity bill, Latest Bank statement , and
Registered Rent agreement.
 Business proof – Shop act license, GST and Udyog aadhaar Registration Certificate.
 Salaried- KYC and Latest three months salary slip, Form 16 (last year) and salary account
statement of last 12 months.
 Businessman/ Self-employed –Financial statement (BS/PL) with ITR and Income Tax Computation.
Business account statement of last 12 months.
13. Annual Fee :
 Zero Issuance fee.
 Free for staff and Ex- staff.
 For customer free for 1st year
 Rs. 500/ from 2nd year onwards (to be charged in advance)
 If customer’s annual purchase txn is above Rs. 30,000/- and more, the annual fee will be waived from 2 nd
year onwards.
 No annual fee for add on Cards.
14. Fee and Charges :
The minimum transaction amount can be converted to EMI is Rs. 5,000/-
The customer can convert the transaction into EMI upto one billing cycle. Customer may avail flexi pay
tenure of 3/6/9/12/18/24 months.
Processing Fee- One time processing fee of 2% of the amount converted to flexi pay (EMI) will be
charged, subject to a minimum of Rs. 100/- and a maximum of Rs. 1500/-+ applicable taxes.
 The EMI can be cancelled or forceclosed by the card holder anytime during its tenure. The charges +
applicable taxes will not be reversed for foreclosure or cancellation of EMI. EMI force closure charges of 2%
of outstanding balance.
EMI Interest – 1.25% per month.
 Over Limit Fee- Over limit fees @ 2.50% of the over limit amount or Rs.500 whichever is higher.
 Rate of interest on payment of minimum due- Bank will be charging interest @ 2.50% pm +GST.
 ATM cash withdrawal fee- Fee is 2.5% or Rs.100 whichever is maximum.
 Reward Points- 1 Reward point for each Rs. 100/- purchase txn. (minimum reward points on card
activation -1000 points)
Late payment charges would be applicable if minimum amount due is not paid by the due date.
Card replacement/reissuance fee is Rs.250+ GST.

15. Auto Debit Mandate:
 Through linked SB/CC/CA/ account on 10th and 25th of every month and it is compulsory
for BoM staff pension accounts & others.
Branch can submit request for change of auto debit mandate, applications received before
25th of the month will be processed in the same month whereas applications received after
25th will be updated in the next bill cycle. Branch can send the mail to
[email protected] if account needs to be changed in the current bill and also
give a call to credit card cell.

16. Processing of Credit Card application:


Verify the applications received as per eligibility criteria.
Application received at branch need to be punch in ULC
Login into ULC->select BOMCREDITCARD application from dropdown->New Card application.
(The application need to punch by Maker/clerk OR any officer other than BM).
The application submitted as per above will be authorized by checker after due verification by
Branch Manager of that branch.
 To check status of authorized application: login ULC-> BOMCREDITCARD application ->check status.
Things to be done on receipt of card by customer: Upon receipt of card the customer need to
follow the steps. Visit : https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in/.

Or customer has to login to Mahamobile application and by clicking on the credit card menu, rest
navigation will be same.
A) New user Registration-> Enter Customer ID/number(as mentioned on welcome kit-> enter Captcha-
>Submit.
* After submit, OTP will be sent to customer registered mobile no.-> enter OTP-. Submit-> set password-
> Re-enter password-> Submit.

B) Card Activation-> login with the above set credentials->Go to request Menu->click on Card
Activation-> select card from dropdown-> submit-> Enter OTP will be received on registered mobile->
Submit.

C) Green PIN generation-> Go to request Menu-> click on green PIN-> select reason as “CREATE NEW
PIN”-> submit-> Enter OTP will be received on registered mobile-> Continue-> Enter New PIN->
Confirm New PIN-> Continue.

D) Channel Configuration-> Go to request Menu-> click on Channel Configuration-> Click on ECOM


(Online transaction)/NFC (Contactless transaction) -> Enter value in configure Domestic Limit as
required -> Continue.

E) Bill payment : https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in/-> Request Menu-> Click on credit card

18. Redressed of grievances:


Role of Branch-
After scrutiny of all criteria for issuing of Credit card. The maker to punch the application in ULC under “BOM
Credit Card Application” Portal. The limit will be decided in the portal itself while punching of application.
 The details needs to be checked and authorized by Checker (Branch Manager).
 On successful authorization the scoring model will be calculated the score of the customer based on the data
punched in the software.
 The slabs for the Credit card limit will be as below :
* The score between 91-100 then limit will be 1.50 lac.
* The score between 81-90 then limit will be 1.25 lac.
* The score between 71-80 then limit will be 1.00 lac.
* The score between 61-70 then limit will be 0.75 lac.
* The score between 51-60 then limit will be 0.50 lac.

 SMS and e-mail delivered to customer by Credit card cell, a report will also be provided in ULC.
Monitoring the status of the default cases and recovering amount.
Grievance handling and resolving the same within set time.
Role and Responsibility of Zonal Office:
 Ensuring timely punching of applications in ULC by branches.
Nothing of credit card sanctioned by branches and recommend proposal for higher limit to HO.
Marketing of credit card products.
Monitor issuance of credit cards to customers via branches.

Role of Credit card Cell :


To ensure timely delivery of cards and keep track of Returned/ Undelivered cases.
Card related operations like hotlisting,limit enhancement, customer service, complaints, credit card
promotional activities like running, campaigning, follow up with branches and zones.
 To ensure that card is working on all the platforms.
 Developing the product and marketing, tie up etc.
SLA Monitoring and co-ordination with service providers.
Reconciliation of Transactions.
 Implementing appropriate fraud control and security measures as mentioned in
the policy to avoid system related risk.
 Engaging third parties and agent for making of credit card.
 Reporting credit cards customer’s information to Credit Information companies
(CICs). Banks shall report the credit card account as “past due” to credit information
companies.
 Lodging the chargeback related issued with NPCI/VISA/Rupay through proper
channel i.e Sending mail on [email protected] with chargeback form
duly signed and verified( If mail sent by customer verification not needed.) or by
login the credit card portal and selecting the particular transaction.
 Reconciliation of accounts on monthly basis by DCRD.
 Reviewing the credit card usage of customers and analyzing the same. Offering
higher credit cards limit for the customers utilizing the credit cards limit properly
regularly after receiving recommendation from competent authority as per circular.
 Coming up with offers/ reward points / tie ups so to promote the usage of credit
card and making all out efforts to increase the income.

Credit Card- NPA Management
Important points to remember:-
The total overdue of any Credit card can be converted into EMI until
Credit Card is appearing in SMA 0 and SMA 1 list.
Once slipped into SMA 2 category conversion in EMI is not possible
and customer will have to pay full overdue amount to make his Credit
card PA.
The conversion in EMI is possible without paying any minimum due if
done before due date.
If customer wants to convert overdue into EMI after due date then he
will have to pay minimum due amount.
Fraud Management in Credit Card
• In case any fraud transaction takes place in customers credit card then
customer necessarily have to report this transaction within Three
days.
• Branch upon receiving any such complaints have to write to

Step-1: Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in
Step-2: New user registration➡Enter cust id➡Enter captcha➡select card number➡enter otp➡ validate➡
create password, retype it➡ submit.
Step-3: Card Activation: Login with cif and password created as above➡ Request menu➡Card Activation➡
Activate card.
Step-4: PIN Generation: Request menu  Green pin➡ Create new pin ➡Enter OTP➡ Submit.
Step-5: Limit in Credit Card : Click on Upper Left Corner →Request→ Channel Configuration→ Select card
from dropdown→ Click ECOM in lower line → Type Limit →Click on NFC→ Type Limit (Maximum Rs.5000)
→Submit.
12. I had activated my Bom credit card but still the it is not working for online transaction like flipkart,
amazon, patym, phonepe etc?

Reason: Online channel is not enabled.

Solution: As per latest RBI guidelines, ECOM & NFC txn is to be by default disabled. You need to enable them
before using for any online txn as under

Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in
Go to Request Menu→ Channel Configuration→ Select card from dropdown→ Click ECOM in lower line
→ Type Limit →Click on NFC→ Type Limit (Under Rs.2000) →Submit

13. My card is not working anywhere?

Reason: The card must not be activated.

Solution:
Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in

Step 1: Click on New user registration➡Enter cust id➡Enter captcha➡select card number➡enter otp➡ validate➡
create password, retype it➡ submit.

Step 2: Login into the above portal with cif and password created as above➡ Go to request menu➡Card
Activation➡ Activate card.

Step 3: PIN Generation: Go to request menu Green pin➡ Create new pin ➡Enter OTP➡ Submit.
14. I am not able to switch on the ECOM and NFC limit, every time I try to drag the on/off button but it is not working.

Solution: You need to click once on on/off button instead of dragging it.

15. I had enabled all the channels still the payment is declined while using online.

Reason: The limit set for online transaction must be less than the transaction you are attempting.

For ex- The Limit set by you is Rs.10,000/- and if you are attempting a txn for Rs.11000/- then the transaction will
decline.
Solution:
Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in
Go to Request Menu→ Channel Configuration→ Select card from dropdown→ Click ECOM in lower line
→ Modify the Limit →Click on NFC→ Modify Limit (Maximum Rs.2000) →Submit.

16.I had lost my card, how to hotlist it?

Solution: Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in  Go to request  Click on Card Hotlisting 


Select Card from drop down  select reason  Submit.

Your card will be hotlisted immediately.

17. I had wrongly deleted the statement received in email, how can I get it again.

Solution: Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in  Go to request  Click on Statement details 


Select Card from drop down  select statement date  Click on view or download.
18. I am trying to complete an international transaction but it is getting declined.

Solution: Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in  Go to request  Click on International limit 


Select Card from drop down  Type new international limit as per requirement  Set limit period  Submit.

19. I had done a transaction, but not received any alert due to network issue. I need to check the amount
debited to my card.

Solution: Login to https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in  Go to My Account  Click on Authorisation details


 Select Card from drop down  Select time period  Click on VIEW button.

20. I want to make payment of my credit card bill online?

Solution: For payment of Bom credit card bill using UPI, you will need to login into the credit card portal Visit
https://creditcard.bankofmaharashtra.in  Login with credentials  Go to Credit Card Payment Tab  Select
account  Select Credit card from drop down  Select payment option(Total amount Due or Minimum amount
Due or Other amount)  Click on Proceed with payment.

21. I had done transaction, when bill will be generated?
Solution: Billing date is 25th of every month.
Ex: If txn is done on 26th Dec 2020, it will be billed on 25th Jan 2020 and same needs to be paid on or before
due date i.e. 10/02/2021.

22. I had done one txn on the card, I want to convert into EMI, but there is no option in credit card
portal.

Solution: Any txn above Rs.5000/- can be converted into EMI before billing date i.e 10 th and 25th (two billing
cycle) of every month. For conversion into EMI, you will need to send an email to
[email protected] from your registered email id with following details:
Customer Id
Txn Date
Txn Amount
Tenure
On successful conversion of EMI, you will get a confirmation SMS.

23. Students and other persons with no independent financial means and eligible to enter into contract
will be issued Credit Card with the conditions
a) Against Deposit maximum limit for secured Credit Card will be 80% of the deposit.
b) FDR to be preserved & stored at branch along with the application and KYC details.
c) Bank has the right to liquidate the security to recover the dues when the outstanding balance of card is more
than 90% of security value or in case of default is more than 60 days whichever is earlier.
