Definition of Terms #2
For the reader’s clearer understanding of the present study, the
following terms are defined operationally.
Age. This was the length of time a person has lived as
commenced by his birth. Teachers’ ages ranged from early twenties
to fifty-nine. As mandated by law, a teacher was expected to retire
when he reached the age of sixty.

relationship with a significant other. Teachers who were single
generally had more time to spend preparing the lesson and assessing
the students’ learning than those who were married.
Definition of Terms #3
The key terms in the study are given the following operational
definitions.
BIR Ruling. This Refers to an official administrative
interpretation by the Bureau of Internal Revenue of a particular
provision of the National Internal Revenue Code or implementing
Revenue Regulations. Normally, a BIR Ruling does not include
administrative interpretation of concomitant interpretation of a VAT
provision.

interchangeably with the phrase “trade or business.”

Carbohydrates can also be defined chemically as
neutral compounds of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
The body breaks down most sugars and starches into
glucose, a simple sugar that the body can use to feed
its cells. Dietary intake of complex carbohydrates can
lower blood cholesterol when they are substituted for
saturated fat.
Carbohydrates are classified into mono,
di, tri, poly and heterosaccharides. The smallest
carbohydrates are monosaccharides such as
glucose whereas polysaccharides such as starch,
cellulose and glycogen can be large and even
indeterminate in length.
