the one that shows a good habit and a cross () in front of

 Read the following checklist and answer each question
using your own information.

How Healthy is your Lifestyle?


The first step to good health is to have a healthy lifestyle.
Changing to a healthier lifestyle will improve your quality of life.
To find out exactly how healthy your current lifestyle is answer
the following questions.

1. ARE YOU EATING A HEALTHY DIET?
 Do you eat a lot of processed convenience foods?
 Do you often eat sweet snacks such as chocolate or
biscuits?
 Do you skip meals?
 Do you eat in restaurants more than three times a week?
 How many proper meals a day do you eat on average?

If you answered YES to most of these questions, you are eating


badly and need to learn more about nutrition so that you can
change your diet to a healthier one. It is better to eat two or three
moderate-sized meals during the day, rather than one large feast.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

2. DO YOU EXERCISE ENOUGH?
 Can you climb three flights of stairs without becoming
breathless and exhausted?
 Do you sometimes walk or cycle instead of driving or
taking the bus or train?
 How many times do you exercise per week?

If you answered No to the first two questions, you are out of


shape, To keep fit, you should exercise vigorously for 20 minutes,
three times a weeks. It is easy to start.

3. ARE YOU ABUSING YOUR BODY?
 Do you smoke cigarettes, cigars or a pipe?
 Have you tried to stop smoking and failed?
 Do you regularly drink more than the recommended limits
for alcohol intake?

If you answered YES to the first two questions, you should stop
smoking. If you answered YES to the last question, you need to
cut down on your drinking.

4. ARE YOU UNDER STRESS?
 Do you feel that you never have enough time to do all the
things you have to do?
 Do you worry all the time?
 Do you have trouble falling asleep at night?
 What do you do in your free time?

If you answered YES to the first three questions, you may not be
dealing with stress very well. Having an interesting hobby help
you concentrate on other things and forget the boredom of your
daily routine.
