Student A: Hello, I have an appointment with you today. I’m feeling unwell lately and I need
some advices
Student B: Hi, I’m Student B, a certified health expert at the university’s medical clinic. What
are your health issues and how long have you been experiencing them?
Student A: Well, I have been feeling tired for the past two weeks. I also have headaches. I can’t
concentrate on my studies or enjoy my hobbies.
Student B: I’m sorry to hear that. Have you taken any medication or seen any doctor before
coming here?
Student A: No, I haven’t. I thought it was just stress or lack of sleep, but it doesn’t seem to get
better.
Student B: I see. Do you have any allergies, chronic diseases, or family history of any medical
conditions?
Student A: No, not that I know of.
Student B: OK. Do you smoke, drink alcohol, or use any drugs?
Student A: No, I don’t.
Student B: Good. How about your diet and exercise habits? Do you eat well and stay active?
Student A: Well, not really. I usually skip breakfast and eat junk food for lunch and dinner. I
don’t have time or energy to cook or do exercise.
Student B: Hmm, that’s not good for your health. Your symptoms could be caused by poor
nutrition, dehydration, or low blood sugar. You need to eat a balanced diet that includes fruits,
vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. You also need to drink plenty of water
and avoid caffeine and sugar. These foods and drinks can help you feel more energetic and
prevent nausea and headaches.
Student A: Really? I didn’t know that. How much water should I drink a day?
Student B: You should aim for at least eight glasses of water a day, or more if you exercise or
sweat a lot.
Student A: OK, I’ll try to drink more water. What about exercise? How much should I do?
Student B: You should aim for at least 30 to 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity most
days of the week2. Exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight and lower your blood
pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels. It can also boost your mood and reduce stress,
Student A: I see. What kind of exercise do you recommend?
Student B: You can choose any exercise that you enjoy and suit your preferences and abilities.
You can do aerobic exercises such as walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming. You can also join
a sports team or a fitness class at the university if you like.
Student A: OK, thank you for the suggestions. I’ll try to find some time and motivation to
exercise more. Thank you for listening and understanding.
Student B: My pleasure. I hope you feel better soon. If you need more assistance or follow-up,
please don’t hesitate to contact me again or visit the medical clinic anytime.
