Learning to write her name

Hiba, the other day you were enjoying practice writing your name. As we could
not go out to play due to the wet weather we decided to choose activities
indoor. I have noticed that often you write ‘H’ and tell me that H is for Hiba. So
today I asked if you would like to practice witting your name? Instantly you
agreed. I gave you a sheet of paper which has dotted lined ‘Hiba’ written so that
you could practice writing your name.
You sat at the table with some of your friends focusing on your task. You knew
how to hold a pen as you had been developing good pencil skills. I was pleased
to see how you were enjoying and concentrating on your task. You sat there for
a long time until finished the whole page. When you have done you proudly
showed me the product of your hard work. Masha Allah Hiba ! I am proud of
you too.

Learning happening
Hiba, through this experience it proved that you
were developing:
Concentration
Hand –eye co-ordination and fine motor skills
Learning how to write your name
Developing literacy skills.

What’s next?
In sha Allah we will provide plenty of
opportunities so that you can write your name
and other words without dotted lines next time.
