The Courageous Boy
Khaled, you surprise me often. Here is what you did today. It was a beautiful day and all the
children wasexploring outdoor activities. When a few children started to climb on the monkey
bar, you did too. However you were not just using the monkey bar as the other children. You set
yourself a challenge and wanted to climb up at the very top. No other children at An-Nur could
do that as it was very difficult. Anyway when you pulled yourself up there and sat there
laughing pleased with the big achievement. I could see the expression of happiness in your
face.
I asked, ‘How are you going to come down, Khaled’, You just said, “Ha ha” and lowered your
body down, dangled forward and backward all the way to the other end of the bar and jumped
down on the mattress. Wow ! It seems so easy for you! But I know how difficult it would be for
other children.
Masha Allah Khaled you are such a courageous boy. I am pleased to see that you have control
over your body. You have the ability to co-ordinate and balance and able to use your body to
take risks and physical challenges.
Mastering monkey bars are definitely a positive challenge that builds confidence for children.
Swinging on monkey bars influences good posture and balance. By swinging back and forth with
their legs up help improve their body strength and develop a better, correct posture.
Khaled, In sha Allah we will make sure you get opportunities to further improve your physical
challenging abilities perhaps go the navy park often to use the large public playground.
Self confidence plays a critical role in self identity and how we carry ourselves. It can affect our
performance and even our success and failure and everything in our life.
In Quran it mentioned,” When you have decided on a course of action, put your trust in Allah.
If Allah helps you no one can overcome you. If he forsakes you who else can help you?” Quran
