C osmology is a branch of astronomy that involves

the origin and evolution of the universe, from the Big Bang to today
and on into the future.
According to NASA, the definition of cosmology is "the

scientific study
of the large scale properties of the universe as a
whole."
 Big Bang
is a scientific theory about how the
universe started, and then made the stars
Big Bang and galaxies we see today. The Big Bang
is the name that scientists use for the
most common theory of the universe,
from the very early stages to the present
day.
 Until recently, people thought that

the universe was only the Milky
Way galaxy. They thought this because
they could only see the planets up
Theory to Saturn and stars. With the invention
of the telescope, we could see more of the
universe. Modern cosmology is
considered to have started in 1917
Scope of Cosmology
Cosmology deals with the world as the totality of

space, time and all phenomena. Historically, it has
had quite a broad scope, and in many cases was
found in religion. In modern use metaphysical
cosmology addresses questions about the Universe
which are beyond the scope of science
Cosmology in Philosophy of
Education
 Cosmology is exclusively a section

of philosophy, with its problems of
being and nothing, of form and
matter, of time and space, without
the use of mathematics and
physics. Thus, the philosophy of
cosmology is part of the
intellectual culture of humanity in
its historical development.

EXISTS BECAUSE OF AN ULTIMATE AND
SUPERNATURAL CAUSE.
COSMOLOGY IS A MODERN SCIENCE, MANY OF THE
THEOLOGICALLY RELEVANT QUESTIONS RELATED TO
CURRENT COSMOLOGY ARE OLD.
1. DID THE UNIVERSE COME INTO EXISTENCE A
FINITE TIME AGO?
2. WILL IT COME TO AN END?
3. WHY ARE THE COSMIC EVOLUTION AND THE LAWS
OF NATURE OF JUST SUCH A KIND THAT THEY
PERMIT INTELLIGENT LIFE TO EXIST?
THESE AND OTHER QUESTIONS OF OBVIOUS RELEVANCE
TO THEISM ARE CURRENTLY BEING DISCUSSED IN THE
LIGHT OF THE MOST RECENT COSMOLOGICAL THEORIES
AND OBSERVATIONS, BUT THE QUESTIONS THEMSELVES
(AND, INDEED, MANY OF THE ANSWERS) WERE FAMILIAR
TO MEDIEVAL PHILOSOPHERS AND THEOLOGIANS. THIS
IS ALSO THE CASE WITH THE QUESTION THAT IS
SOMETIMES CONSIDERED THE ULTIMATE ONE: WHY IS
THERE A COSMOS? THERE IS NO REASON TO EXPECT
THAT TODAY’S ADVANCED PHYSICAL COSMOLOGY, OR
THE EVEN MORE ADVANCED OF TOMORROW, WILL
PROVIDE FINAL ANSWERS THAT SATISFY THEISTS AND
ATHEISTS ALIKE.

CONCLUSION
BY POINTING OUT SOME OF THE SUBTLETIES IN THE RELATIONSHIP
BETWEEN SCIENTIFIC COSMOLOGY AND THEOLOGY, WE DO NOT
INTEND TO CLAIM THAT THE TWO ARE NON-OVERLAPPING
AUTHORITATIVE. TO THE CONTRARY, CONTEMPORARY COSMOLOGY
IS FASCINATING PRECISELY BECAUSE IT HAS SUCH INTRICATE
LOGICAL RELATIONS WITH TRADITIONAL METAPHYSICAL AND
THEOLOGICAL ISSUES.
