This document summarizes an action research project that investigated the attitude and performance of senior high school TVL students in oral communication. The research questions examined students' levels of positive, negative, neutral and destructive attitudes, as well as their performance levels. The methodology used mean, standard deviation and Pearson's r to analyze the relationship between attitude and performance. The results found a significant relationship between positive attitude and higher performance, and negative attitude with lower performance. The recommendation is for teachers to motivate positive attitudes to improve students' oral communication performance.

ATTITUDE OF THE SENIOR
HIGH SCHOOL TVL STUDENTS
AND THE LEVEL OF THEIR PERFORMANCE
PAUL CHRISTIAN G. VILLAVERDE
LOWLAND INTEGRATED NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL INTRODUCTION
This action research entitled, “ATTITUDE OF SENIOR
HIGH SCHOOL TVL STUDENTS IN LEARNING ORAL COMMUNICATION AND THE LEVEL OF THEIR PERFORMANCE”, aimed to find out the attitude of grade 11 senior high school TVL students in learning oral communication and the level of their performance in the subject oral communication in context at Lowland Integrated National High School, Nagcarlan District, Division of Laguna, school year 2019-2020. RESEARCH QUESTIONS
This action research sought answer on the following
research questions: 1. What is the level of students’ attitude in learning oral communication in terms of positive attitude; negative attitude; neutral attitude;distructive attitude? 2.What is the level of performance of the students in oral communication in the first semester? 3. Is there any significant relationship of the students’ attitude in learning oral communication on the level of their performance? METHODOLOGY
The data collected in this study were treated
using mean and standard deviation to determine the level of students’ attitude in learning oral communication and the level of their performance. In order to determine the significant relationship of the students’ attitude in learning oral communication on the level of their competencies, the researcher used Pearson-r. ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION
Based on the data, it is shown that there is a
“significant relationship of the students’ attitude in learning oral communication on the level of their performance at 0.05 level of significance. It shows that the null hypothesis is rejected, thus, it can be inferred that there is a “significant” relationship between them. ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION
Furthermore, it shows that as to positive attitude, the computed
0.4385 r-value have a moderate degree of correlation, with the supported computed p-value. As to negative attitude, the computed 0.1099 r-value have a very low degree of correlation, with the supported computed p-value. As to neutral attitude, the computed 0.2882 r-value have a slight degree of correlation, with the supported computed p-value. And as to destructive attitude, the computed 0.5745 r-value have a moderate degree of correlation, with the supported computed p-value. This explained that, as the positive attitude of the students in oral communication increase, the level of their performance also increases. On the other hand, as the negative attitude of the students increase, their performance also decreases. RECOMMENDATION
The action research recommends that teachers
should motivate their students to have positive attitude towards oral communication in order to improve their performance in the subject.
