INTRODUCTION
•Internship is an opportunity that employers offer to
students interested in gaining work experience in
particular industries.
•Internship provides a clear idea about the functioning
of an organization and to work within the practical
environment rather than simply studying about the
organization. It provides an avenue to apply the
knowledge, skills and abilities in an actual working
environment.

Department of ST. GREGORIOUS MEDICAL MISSION
HOSPITAL.
• To gain a practical working experience from that organization.
• To gather information about the administrative system in the
hospital.
• To identify the relative importance of organization policies and
motivation.
• To understand the various infrastructure and facilities in the
hospital and Study their work situation.
• To know the satisfaction level of the employees in the hospital.

• St. Gregorios Medical Mission Hospital Parumala is a well
organized 350 bedded multispecialty hospital located in
Kerala.
• The hospital was established on the 11 September 1975 and
registered under the Travancore Cochin Literacy Scientific and
Charitable Societies Act and Recognition A 334/78.
• The institution is owned and controlled by His Holiness
Moran Mar Baselious Marthoman Paulose 2 who is the head of
Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church which is the most ancient
Christian community in India.
• The hospital is rendering charitable services in medical and
general services to the less privileged and the poor, irrespective
of community or caste within 38 year of its service.

settings. The 350 bedded Multi Dispensary
Super Specialty Hospital is one of the leading
hospitals in central Travancore Situated in
Parumala, Pathanamthitta District. True to the
name of the mission hospital SGMMH offer
medical treatment at the lowest possible rates.
Over and above this a substantial amount is
set apart for giving concession to the poor
patients. Ever since its inception the hospital
has been a source of great help to thousands of
patients.

situated in the beautiful an serene location of
Parumala Village. Kadapra Panchayath of
Pathanamthitta District in Kerala. Parumala is
a small picture square area surrounded by the
tributaries of the ever famous Pampa River. It
is located almost equal distance from Cochin
and Thiruvananthapuram International
Airports and is well connected by the road .

FINDINGS

• Operations department have the full responsibility of the organizations


safety.
• Proper training programs are there in this hospital for improving the
efficiency of employees.
• More than 15 licenses are needed for the working of hospitals.
• There is proper working plan for this organization.

RECOMMENDATION

• More computers have to be implemented for each


department
• Improve the parking facility
• HR department should make sure to fill the
vacancies as soon as possible to avoid giving extra
pressure on the existing employees .
• The organization should do study on the welfare
activities in other organization and make a new
welfare scheme which is satisfactory to all
employees

• Give reduction for employees in canteen


• Proper training should give to the employees to get
familiar with new softwares
• Increase the amount of salary according to their
experience.

• After the internship, Throughout the internship


Intern was able to understand the working of
different departments of hospital in coordination
with each other. It helped to become more
organized, responsible and teach me how to work
in cooperation with each others.
• During the period of internship, Intern realized
that observation is the best way to find the root
cause of problem not only for my internship but
also in the day to day activities.

• This internship indirectly helped to become more
patient, independent, disciplined and self reliant.
During this internship period received advice, in a way
their advices help to develop and correct the
mistakes. Learned some important things like.
