    ADJECTIVES

    • Are words that describe or modify other words. They can identify or quantify another person or thing in
    the sentence. Usually positioned before the noun or the pronoun that they modify.
    Hiligaynon language in the Philippines, the
    adjectives are formed by adding affixes to the base
    words.
    AFFIX MEANING EXAMPLE USE IN A SENTENCE

    di- (no/not) dimatuod Dimatuod ang mga


    dimatarong istorya nga inyo
    nabatian.

    ka- used to show similarity kaduag/ katupong Kaduag sang bayu


    or likeness mo ang bayu ko.

    ma- tells of a character or mabuot/ malimpyo Mabuot ang akon


    quality abyan.
    ADJECTIVES are also used to compare nouns. It comes in different degrees as
    well.
