1. WHAT IS A HYBRID? ️
• A hybrid is a vehicle that is propelled by two

power sources.

TYPES OF HYBRID VEHICLES ️
: SERIES HYBRID
– Vehicle propulsion is by a electric motor only
– ICE is used for charging the HV battery
: PARALLEL HYBRID
– Uses multiple propulsion energy sources
– This means the electric motor and ICE propels the
vehicle
: SERIES-PARALLEL HYBRID
– These vehicles can operate using the electric motor alone or
with assist of the ICE
– They combine both functions of series and parallel design

Biodiesel⛽⛽
Biodiesel is an alternative fuel similar to conventional or

'fossil' diesel. Biodiesel can be produced from straight
vegetable oil, animal oil/fats, tallow and waste cooking oil.
The process used to convert these oils to Biodiesel is
called transesterification.
Biodiesel is a direct replacement for petroleum diesel and can be

used in any diesel engine without modifications. ... Biodiesel
blends are used in diesel cars, trucks, buses, off-road equipment,
and oil furnaces across the country. The use of biodiesel can
reduce a diesel engine's overall emissions up to 75 % .
CNG GAS used as fuel ⛽⛽
A natural gas vehicle (NGV) is an alternative fuel vehicle that uses

compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG)
Natural gas produces very less hydrocarbon emissions than LPG

and petrol. CNG is Economic: CNG is cheaper than petrol and
LPG. It saves money. Clean Engine: CNG is good for car engine.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels

Data Center, natural gas vehicles are actually safer than those
powered by gasoline or diesel. The fact that CNG is lighter than air
further enhances its safety.
● Maintenance👨🏻🔧👩🏻🔧
• Hybrid vehicles require the same maintenance as
regular vehicles
• However, some hybrids require inverter flushes and
battery filter changes.
• There be additional costs involved in replacing low
rolling resistance tires.
• Vehicle repairs may cost more than a regular vehicle

• Most hybrid high voltage batteries last 180,000 to 240,000
