DeltaV data can be connected to Excel by adding the DeltaV Function add-in, selecting the cell of interest, browsing to locate the process variable and current value attribute, and choosing the update time. This allows the live DeltaV data to be displayed in Excel and updated automatically at the specified scan time, presenting process values and set points for further analysis. Additional points can then be added by selecting cells and clicking the DeltaV Function without re-entering the scan time.
