Instrument Introduction
Big Fish Audio’s Celtic Instruments for Kontakt Player offers a richly detailed and immersive
experience, bringing the enchanting spirit of Celtic music directly to your projects. This expertly
crafted library transports you to the misty landscapes of Scotland and Ireland with its collection of
high-quality instruments, including the powerful Great Highland Pipes, intricate Uilleann Pipes,
versatile Scottish Small Pipes, and other bagpipe-style instruments.
In addition to those iconic sounds, Celtic Instruments includes authentic Pennywhistle, Bodhran
(Irish Drum), Fiddle patches, and more, all meticulously recorded for a genuine performance. The
latest version enhances the library with new effects, refined samples, and full NKS compatibility,
all presented through a user-friendly GUI. This streamlined interface ensures that all essential
controls are easily accessible, allowing you to effortlessly infuse your compositions with the
captivating essence of Celtic tradition.

User Interface
Saturate - Increase the amount of saturation.

Compression - Increase the amount of compression.
Reverb - Increase the amount of reverb.
Mono/Poly - Toggle between monophonic and polyphonic play modes.
Info Panel - Display Name of the instrument and current articulation keyswitch when present.
Pitch Bend - Adjust the range of the pitch wheel between 1-12 semitones.
EQ - Low, Mid, High, 3-band equalizer for shaping your sound.
Humanize - Increases the likelihood of a note being slightly off-pitch.
Envelope - Fine-tune the attack, decay, sustain, and release amount.

Keyboard Layout
The keyboard will always have an indicated blue play range that corresponds with the
instrument’s play range. All instruments that have articulation keyswitches will be shown in red.
In the above example from the Fiddle patch, the red articulations start on C1. From left to right
the articulations are: Fast Attack, Slow Attack, Marc Short, Marc Vibrato, Marc Long, Slides, and
Turns. Some of these articulations, like Slides, will adjust the blue play range.

License Agreement
The following End User License Agreement is included with Celtic Instruments. This license is
only valid for the individual who has purchased an unopened, new and lawfully made copy of
Celtic Instruments from a dealer or distributor authorized by Big Fish Audio.
“The samples contained herein are licensed, not sold to you, the individual end user, by Big Fish
Audio. This non-exclusive, non-transferable license is granted only to the individual end user who
has purchased an unopened, new and lawfully made copy of this product from a dealer or
distributor authorized by Big Fish Audio. All samples remain the property of Big Fish Audio and
are licensed only for use in the creation of a live or recorded performance that includes the
licensed samples as part of a derivative musical work created by the licensed end user. This
license expressly forbids resale, rental, loan, gift or transfer of these samples in any format or via
any medium, except as part of a derivative musical work. The samples may not be included,
whether unmodified or as part of a derivative work, in any sample library product. Any unlicensed
usage will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible under the law.”
