Grammar Corner: Modal Verbs

Modal verbs are can, could, may, might, will, would, shall, should, must and ought
to.
These verbs are used with the basic form of verbs. (Go, park, pour, study, wear,
etc.)
Example: You should study hard to get good scores in school.
You may turn on the TV after studying your lessons.
Modal verbs can be used for indicating many kinds of statement, such as:
request, suggestion, offer, prohibition, obligation, etc.
Example: You must obey the school rules. (Obligation)
