    SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN RESOLUTION NO. 10 S-2024


    “A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE BIDS AND AWARDS COMMITTEE (BAC) OF THE
    SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN OF BRGY. JAVIER SOGOD SOUTHERN LEYTE”

    WHEREAS, Procuring Entity, shall conduct its procurement activities pursuant to


    Republic Act (RA) No. 9184 and its implementing rules and regulations (IRR), as provided in
    Sections 8(1) and 20(a) of the IRR of RA No. 10742 of SK Reform Act.

    WHEREAS, the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) shall be responsible for ensuring that
    the Procuring Entity abides by the standards set forth by the Republic Act. 9184 and its
    implementing rules and regulations known as the Government Procurement Act provides for
    establishing of a Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

    WHEREAS, Pursuant to the provisions of RA No. 9184 known as the Government


    Procurement Reform Act, I, JEYMAR C. DESTRESA, SK Chairperson of Barangay Javier,
    Municipality of Sogod, Province of Southern Leyte, shall be Head of Procuring Entity (HoPE), do
    hereby order and designate the following as members of the Sangguniang Kabataan Bids and
    Awards Committee (BAC) its BAC secretariat and Technical Working Group (TWG) including
    other relevant procurement personnel are sent to attend Government Procurement Police
    Board (GPPB) to wit;
    NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Miles L. Diapolet duly seconded by all members
    present be it;
    HEREBY RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Kabataan, Barangay
    Javier that the Bids and Awards Committee be established with the following composition and
    functions:

    II. FUCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     Advertise and/or post the invitation bid.


     Conduct pre-procurement and pre-bid conferences.
     Determine the eligibility of prospective bidders, receive bids, conduct the
    evaluation of bids and undertake post-qualification proceedings.
     Recommend award of contracts to the head of the Procuring Entity or its duly
    authorized representative.
     Perform such other functions as mandated for under RA 9184

    I hereby certify to the correctness of the foregoing Resolution No. 10 series of 2024 of the
    Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Javier, Municipality of Sogod Province of Southern Leyte.
