2. Loading of Teachers per department in preparation for the SY 2021-2022 –
Since the Cabantian NHS will soon have Master Teachers, they will be the one to
prepare class program of teachers(the prospect for the coming school year is Mrs. Ma.
Stella B. Caronan.) However, the proposal was prepared and presented to everyone
around by Mrs. Joan H. Netro. -Once done, the official and final copy of the proposal will
be sent/forwarded to the subject coordinators. -Everyone is reminded that teachers
should render 360 minutes of teaching per day as per Deped memorandum. Those who
would be applying for Master Teacher Position must signify their intention for them to
have six (6) teaching loads other than their ancillary. However, one must consider the
position's qualifications. -Teachers to be considered part of a particular department will
have at least 4 teaching loads of their major subject. - Regarding alignment/positioning
of teachers (for future promotion), first come first serve basis will be served, meaning
those last in teacher might be given loads other than their major subject to give way to
those who had already in the service for quite some time. This ruling must be true to all
to avoid skirmishes among teachers. -There must only be 50 number of students per
section; thus, creating 14 sections per grade level. -Newly hired teachers (Dujerte -
MAPEH, Dela Cerna and Joerex- Aral Pan, and Oledan-TLE) are to be part of the

growing Cabantian NHS Family (we welcome them with an open arms) . Teaching loads
were already assigned to them which will take effect next school year. - LIS will be the
basis for identifying the official number of students per section. Class advisers and
curriculum heads must reconcile/update their records regarding total number of learners
per section/grade level to avoid erroneous report. -Working students must be granting
special consideration with respect to their studies. -Students who failed to submit their
output (answer sheets, assessments, and performance tasks) in a quarter (wla juy
gisubmit bisan isa ka output), teachers must prepare their records. However, in the
deciding as to whether they pass or fail, teachers are reminded to listen to their heart (in
short papasaron jud nato sila, let us do/ sort all means for them to pass). - Teachers are
encouraged to have virtual class/session with their students even if there are only less
than 10 attendees, and have it documented. -Teacher must showcase their student's
best output for SBM file. 3.Other Matters: -Math Dept. - Class Observation with Dr.
Arellano will be on May 24,2021 (PM) -SBM-Mam Annecka will inform everyone if there

1. The DepEd has two programs that work side-by-side to be implemented in

schools: the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program established through DepEd
Memorandum No. 293, s. 2007, and the School Inside a Garden (SIGA)
launched through DECS Memo No. 77, s. 1995.

The DepEd, through this memorandum, is reviving the SIGA Program through a
pilot implementation this November 2018.

The SIGA Program focuses primarily on establishing schools inside gardens

featuring mostly indigenous and endemic trees and flowering plants—making
campuses nationwide green and colorful. The program also aims to:

promote the creation of nurseries for indigenous and endemic trees in specific
campuses that will serve as a laboratory for learners;

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), and Supreme
Student Government (SSG), shall include planting of native and endemic
flowering tree and plant species in their campuses as part of the activities.

Focal Teachers in implementing these programs

Iries M. Dinopol- SSG Moderator

Cheriline Simplicio- Gulayan sa Paaralan In Charge
SIGA Coordinator- Robin C. Baja
Gidelyn Love Lobino- YES-O Moderator
Soledad Soliva and other Green Palm Teachers

The said organizations shall also make an inventory of plants and trees in their
campus using the Tree and Plant Inventory (Enclosure No. 1). These species
shall be properly labeled as part of environmental education efforts of the school.

The School Inside a Garden (SIGA) program of the Department of Education

(DepEd) was initially launched in 1995 through DECS Memorandum No.77, s.
1995 in support of the national goal for a “clean and green” society. It stated the
responsibility of the DepEd to provide every learner with every opportunity to
care for plants, flowers, and trees. The SIGA program initially focused on growing
flowers, medicinal herbs and plants as well as fruit trees including exotic species
such as mahogany and gmelina, which these implementing guidelines will revise.

Objectives of SIGA
1. to further strengthen and reinforce the integration of environmental education in
the elementary and high school curriculum.
2. to sustain environmental consciousness and action among learners in particular
and the community in general; thereby instilling in them the values of unity,
teamwork, sense of volunteerism, nationalism, and community service for
environment protection and conservation;
3. to highlight the importance of the schools and their significant role in the efforts to
rehabilitate a heavily challenged natural environment and to highlight the
importance of the schools and their significant role as well as their initiatives
toward a sustainable Expanded National Greening Program.

Teachers are to voluntarily contribute 100.00 each to buy plants, pots, soil, paints and
other equipment for beautification. Those who cannot afford to pay 100.00 they may
opt to bring plants as their contribution.

Facilitation in collecting the 100.00 shall be done by grade level. Deadline will be on
Wednesday.

Various Committees in Planting, cleaning and other related work will be organized to
have division of labor.

2. Cabantian National High School will have a five day “TAGBO” to make the school
ready for the opening of the school year and implementation of the year round
Brigada Eskwela program.
