The meeting was started at 8:40 in the morning at the Canteen 1. It was directed by
the TLE Department Head, Mr. Phil F. Pereña. He mentioned and distributed a hard copy of
agenda of the meeting. He discussed first about the rubrics to be used by the TLE teachers
in grading the performance, products and projects of the students, the said rubrics was
crafted from the 2010 Secondary Education Curriculum- Career Pathways- Technology and
Livelihood Education. But according to him, it can be modified since in TLE subjects there
are different sets of activities and outputs to be accomplish.
Next, he presented and suggested the transmutation table that all the TLE teachers
may use. The purpose of this transmuted grade is for the uniformity and legality in terms of
giving grades to the students that will be reflected in the report card. Mr. Pereña told us
that it will also serve as our basis on giving remediation or intervention to the students.
Another topic discussed was about the Daily Lesson Log, he shared that on the
group chat of TLE Coordinators and Heads according to our EPS, Mrs. Carandang DLL
should prepare daily that’s why it is a daily lesson log. He gives emphasized to the
Evaluation part of the DLL, wherein he explained that as much as possible it should be in a
form of multiple choice. Those questions that were used as a formative assessment to the
students can be also serve as a review to them since those questions can be used in
preparing the Periodical Test. He added that the evaluation part must be aligned to the
lesson’s objective. Also, he said that every TLE teachers should have an individual crafted
daily lesson log because of the different sets of students each teacher handle.
Furthermore, conducting classroom observation for the third quarter was consulted
too. He prompted about having or getting the CPL is required and important during the
formal classroom observation.
He also requested everyone to submit the copy of MELCs and LCs used in each
learning area assigned. Likewise, he mentioned that in preparing the periodical test it must
be also done individually for this quarter only.
In relation to the conduct of classroom observation, he distributed the copy of Pre-
Observation and Post-Observation Conference Form together with the Classroom
Observation Tool, wherein he explained each indicator to observe during the formal
classroom observation. He suggested some ways on how to perform or execute a specific
indicator. He informed everyone that we may already give the preferred time and date for
classroom observation to him because it is needed that each of the teachers should have at
least one COT before third quarter ends.
