NARRATIVE REPORT ON NLC/ EOSY BREAK ACTIVITIES

A. PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES

Teachers and Parent’s Orientation. The school has adopted the

Policy Guidelines in the implementation of the National Learning Camp.
DepEd's commitment to the National Learning Recovery Program is aided by
this policy, which aims to close learning gaps and aid learners in achieving
learning standards.

The Estado High School conducted an orientation with parents on July

___, 2024, to promote teamwork and collective responsibility among our
students. Collaboration, parent consent, and discussion were all part of the
process for a voluntary recovery learning program. Parents are informed
about the camp activities and our teaching methods are tailored to meet the
diverse needs of our students.

Advocacy Activities. These were conducted following the policy

guidelines of NLC, a voluntary recovery learning program. The NLC is
expected to be conducted every end of the school year break to complement
learning efforts in the previous school year and provide the foundation for
gains in the upcoming school year. Our initiative included posting tarpaulins
outside of our school, tarpaper in every classroom, and using it for the NLC
campaign.

Stakeholders’ Involvement/Support (Internal & External). By

conducting the National Leaning Camp, the learners will have 3 weeks of
sessions starting from July 1 to July 19, 2024, with the help of the volunteer
teachers in their daily activities in reading and fun experiences.

B. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Classroom Setting. The teachers categorized the learners into

Enhancement, Consolidation, or Intervention Camps based on their specific
learning needs. Interactive games and lively discussions were added to the
activities to make the process engaging and enjoyable. The objective was
not only to meet their educational needs but also to establish a positive and
motivating learning atmosphere.

Instruction. The Estado High School supports the NLC implementation

to achieve the National Recovery Program's objectives. Our primary focus
during the first three days of the program was to establish strong
relationships with the learners, conduct diagnostic assessments, and create
individualized learning paths for each learner. By engaging with the students
in person, we were able to identify their unique needs.

C. CREATIVE AND ENGAGING ACTIVITIES

On the first day, our focus was on teaching non-readers how to read
through peer tutoring. We gave them short stories to read, and if they could
read them, we rewarded them for their effort. In the second week, the focus
of our program was on engaging the learners in Mathematics activities.
Through various educational games, these activities involved problem
solving and reading. The objective was to create a dynamic and engaging
environment where individuals could learn while having a great time.

Learning Resources/ Materials Used. The materials and learning

resources used were carefully prepared and tailored to meet the learning
needs of the learners. The teachers worked together to ensure that our
program continued to evolve and cater to the specific needs of our learners.
Our learners’ reading skills were further enhanced through the carefully
designed and implemented reading activities.
