Lesson Procedure
Warm Up (10 minutes)
Greeting The teacher greets the students.

T: “Good morning, students! Are you feeling ok?”


S: “Good morning, Miss. I am feeling well.”
Praying The teacher leads the students to pray together.

T: “Before starting the lesson, let’s pray together. Pray


begins!” “Finish.”
Checking Checking attendance by calling students’ names one by
students’ one. Students' responses can be varied depending on the
attendance instructions (ex: raising their hand, saying “present”, or
mentioning their favorite color, etc).

T: “First, let me know who is already in the class. Please


raise your hand if you are here, OK?”
S: “Okay, Miss!”
Reviewing past The teacher asks students about the topic learned in the
lessons previous meeting.

T: “Alright students, do you still remember what we learned


in the last meeting?” S: “Healthy habits, Miss.”
T: “Correct, Student A! We learned about healthy habits in
the last meeting. Does anyone know an example of
healthy habits?”
S: “Brush teeth, take a bath, wash hands.”
T: “Great answer, Student B! Other than that, we have
other vocabularies, such as drink water, cut the nails, and
exercise.”

Gaining attention 1. The teacher shows a YouTube video to the students.


T: “Now, we have a new topic to learn. Let’s watch
the video together!”

2. The teacher asks some questions related to


the video.
T: “What were health problems mentioned in the
video?” “If you have a toothache, what will you do to
reduce it?”

3. Give reinforcement for the students’ responses.

Main Activities (50 minutes)


Introducing the The teacher mentions the topic and the learning objectives

2. Each group will be given a worksheet, then the
teacher will explain task instructions.

health and sickness expressions.
4. Students listen to what the teacher’s say and circle
the correct picture depicted in listening.
5. After accomplishing the task, each group hands in
the result to the teacher.

Wrap Up (10 minutes)


Summarizing The teacher asks students about what they have learned
the lesson in this meeting.

T: “What have you learned from today’s meeting?”


S: “We have learned vocabulary about health and
sickness, Miss.”
T: “Great! What are they? Can you mention them?” S: “A
headache, a fever, a stomachache, a nosebleed, a cold, a
toothache, an earache, a cough, a backache.”
Giving feedback The teachers give feedback for the students.

T: “Great job, everyone! I'm happy with your engagement


throughout today's lesson. Many of you have actively
listened and shared your ideas. I appreciate your
enthusiasm in learning.”
Assigning The teacher gives a worksheet as homework.

T: “Before wrapping up today's lesson, there is a task to do
individually at home. You need to accomplish two tasks,
namely completing sentences based on the depicted
pictures and writing a story about the last time you were
sick. As for writing the story task, you need to describe the
symptoms you experience; how you took care of yourself;
the challenges faced while being sick; and how you felt
when you finally recovered. You can ask your parents for
help if you find any difficulties.

Previewing the The teacher gives a brief reminder to complete homework


next lesson assignments and previews about the agenda in the next
meeting.

T: “Don’t forget to bring your homework assignments to


class next week, as we will share and discuss them. I look
forward to seeing your work!”
