contains facts and opinion.
Most Essential Learning Competency: (EN8LT-IIIF-2.10) Distinguish facts from
opinion.
TOPIC: Facts and Opinion

Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:
1. Identify the facts and opinion;
2. Appreciate the importance of distinguishing facts from opinion; and
3. Construct a sentence that contains fact and opinion.

Everyone, please stand.

Goodmorning, Grade 8 students. Goodmorning Ma'am.

Everyone kindly stand. Look at your right (The student picks up the pieces of paper)
and left and pick all the trash that you can (The student arranges their chairs)
see.

Priming/ Motivation (6 minutes)

Before we start to our new topic, let’s play a

The title of our game is "Pass the Ball"

should pass the ball around the class. When
the music stops, the student with the ball
must answer the question from the teacher.

I have here a ball, all you need to do is to


pass it around the class while the music
plays, once the music stops, the student
who holds the ball must answer the
question and write it on the board.

Before we start, the title of our game is


"PASS the Ball" NOT "throw a ball", the
student who will throw the ball is
automatically the one who will answer the
question.

to identify the FACTS and Group 2 will help
Senyora to identify OPINIONS in the
example sentences.
