SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MAPEH III

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:

● Demonstrates understanding of the basic concepts of music.


● Sing, play, and perform (through body movements) a chosen song
showing the basic concepts of musical lines, beginnings, endings and
repeats.
● Identifies the beginning and the ending of a song.

IV. PROCEDURE

A. PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES

1. Prayer
(The teacher will call the prayer leader in front to lead the prayer)

2. Greetings

Good morning, class! nAre you ready for today’s activities?


If you’re ready, say “Aye aye teacher!”
Are you ready, grade?

3. Checking of Attendance

Before we begin our lesson for today, let’s check our attendance first.

4. Classroom Rules

I want you to remember our classroom rules. CLAP (Cleanliness, Loitering is not
allowed, be attentive, and participate in the class)

If you have some questions and clarifications, raise your right hand.

5. Motivation

The teacher will present the song/video about the “Bahay Kubo”

6. Drills

(The pupils will be shown musical videos of different titles of the songs and the.
The students will tell the teacher what the title is or if they know how to sing the
song.)

Okay, very good! Today we are going to learn about music forms. We are going
to identify the beginning, middle and end of the music.

B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES

1. Presentation

(The teacher will show a PowerPoint presentation on the TV screen)


Musical Lines are the house of the notes.

Bar line divides the staff into measures. The distance between two bar lines is
called a measure.

Double bar placed at the end of a staff marks the end of a musical piece. It
separates two sections within a piece, or a bar line followed by a thicker bar line.
Repeat sign in music tells us that a part or section of a song must be repeated.
A repeat sign tells us to go to the beginning of the musical piece and repeat from
the start.

Musical lines tell a complete thought called a musical phrase. Like a poem, a
song is composed of phrases. Like a poem, a song is composed of phrases. It is

shown by a curve ( ) line called a phrase mark.

For each phrase, the end of a musical phrase tells you to take a quick breath
before you start to sing another phrase. Songs are made up of musical phrases.

2. Abstraction

Developing Musical Appreciation Through Form

This lesson introduces young learners to the basic concept of music form.
Through engaging activities and listening experiences, students will explore and
identify different musical forms.
3. Application

(The teacher will group the pupils into two groups and give them an activity.)

Instruction: Each group will be given a song. Sing the song and identify the
beginning and ending of the song. When singing the beginning of the song, please
clap your hands. And when singing the ending of the song, I want you to stomp
your feet. Are you ready?

Instruction: Identify the beginning and the ending of the song.

VI. Assignment

Instruction: Choose your favorite nursery rhymes and practice to sing the song. Next
meeting. You will present it in the front with clapping your hands in the beginning and
stomping your feet in the ending of the song.
