What are the values of different generation cohorts with examples?
Generation cohorts: The social generation describe the people born in specific time period, who
experience the significant historical landmark events.
1. Traditionalists

1-Traditionalists
Birth year 1900-1945
Influencers
WW2 and other wars took place in this era. The rise of the space technology started here. The
traditionalists were raised by their parents and had experienced hard time in their life during
growing up. Then rest of life they had prosperity.
Core Values
The core values is that they adhere to the rules and bring good to the society. They actually do not
question the authority and followed the discipline. They were family focused. They liked hard
work and patience/ They respected the authority and followed the law and order with trust in
government. They did all their work with responsibility.
Attributes
They were Committed and loyal to company they worked in, they did their work with dedication, Organized, task
oriented and hard work. They were organized employee. They were competent and confidence. They looked to the
ethical views in life. They were duty, honor, Sacrifice, Patriotic to country with Respectful of Authority. They had proper
Rules of conduct.

highest divorce rate in history, they were antiwar and antigovernment. Those days were of change
so anything was possible. People were demanding equal rights with equal opportunities. The
parents were extremely loyal to their children. The baby boomers were looking for the change and
make difference.
Core Values: They have ability to handle crisis, they were ethical, having good communication
skills. They
Attributes: optimistic, Strong work ethics and willing to take responsibility.
Family experience: Disintegrating, mothers stay to their home to look after children.
Education: The education was considered as birth right.
Values: looking for success.

• Ethics: In those days’ people were workaholic and they used to work 60hrs per week with
work ethics and hard work.

Birth year: 1965-1980
Influencers: Energy crisis, End of Cold war, increase in divorce rate, do not follow their parent’s
footsteps. High educated people with high job expectations. They were lacking the organization
loyalty. They thought globally and influenced by technology.
Core Values: Adaptable, they seem angry but reason was unknown, can change attitude, looking
for big change, confident, ethical people, highest number of divorce
Attributes: loyal at work, result driven and self-starters, willing to take responsibility and work
to live with balance.
Family experience: Females were widely expected to work outside home. In those days the first
daycare idea was introduced. As females were working so source of earning was daul.

911 and these people kept busy, achievers, confidence, diversity, extreme fun, high moral and self-
confidence and most educated generation

Attributes: independent, Computer generation, like to spend money, focused on children and
family, loyal to peers, optimistic, pleasant to others, very patriotic and responsibility of role give.
