ְ ‫ּוב‬
ִ ‫אַ ַחת‬ ‫ְלכ ֶרׁש‬  ֶ‫ֶמל‬ ‫ּפָ ַרס‬ ‫ִל ְכל ת‬ ‫ְּד ַבר‬ ‫יְ הוָה ־‬ ‫ִמ ִּפי‬

. Now in the first year of

and·in·year-of one to·Cyrus king-of Persia to·to-conclude-of word-of Yahweh from·mouth-of the word of the LORD by
the mouth of Jeremiah
‫יִ ְר ְמיָה‬ ‫ֵה ִעיר‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫רּוח ־ אֶ ת‬
ַ ‫ּכ ֶֹרׁש‬  ֶ‫ֶמל‬ ‫ּפָ ַרס ־‬ ‫ֲבר‬
ֶ ‫ַו ַּיע‬ ‫־‬ might be fulfilled, the
LORD stirred up the spirit

of Cyrus king of Persia, that
Jeremiah he-croused Yahweh » spirit-of Cyrus king-of Persia and·he-is-causing-to-pass
he made a proclamation
throughout all his kingdom,
‫קל‬ ‫ְּבכָ ל‬ ‫ַמ ְלכּות ־‬ ‫ְוגַם‬ ‫ְּב ִמ ְכ ָּתב ־‬ ‫לֵ אמֹר‬ : and [put it] also in writing,

voice in·all-of kingdom-of·him and·moreover in·writing to·to-say-of

1:2 ‫ּכֹה‬ ‫אָ ַמר‬ ‫ּכ ֶֹרׁש‬  ֶ‫ֶמל‬ ‫ּפָ ַרס‬ ‫ּכֹל‬ ‫ַמ ְמ ְלכ ת‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ‬ ‫נ ַָתן‬ ‫ִלי‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬

Thus saith Cyrus king of
ke amr krsh mlk phrs kl mmlkuth e·artz nthn l·i ieue Persia, The LORD God of
thus he-says Cyrus king-of Persia all-of kingdoms-of the·earth he-gave to·me Yahweh heaven hath given me all the
kingdoms of the earth; and
‫ֱ(הי‬
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫ַהּׁשָ ָמיִ ם‬ ‫ְוהּוא‬ ‫פָ ַקד ־‬ ‫עָ לַ י‬ ‫ִל ְבנ ת‬ ‫ל ־‬ ‫ַביִ ת‬ ‫ִּבירּוׁשָ לַ ִם‬ he hath charged me to build
him an house at Jerusalem,

which [is] in Judah.

1:3 ‫ִמי‬ ‫ָבכֶ ם ־‬ ‫ִמּכָ ל‬ ‫עַ ּמ ־‬ ‫יְ ִהי‬ ‫ֱ(היו‬

Who [is there] among you
mi - b·km m·kl - om·u iei alei·u om·u of all his people? his God be
anyone in·you(p) from·all-of people-of·him he-shall-bebc Elohim-of·him with·him with him, and let him go up
to Jerusalem, which [is] in
‫ְויַעַ ל‬ ‫ִלירּוׁשָ לַ ִם‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫יהּודה‬
ָ ‫ִּב‬ ‫ְויִ ֶבן‬ ‫ֵּבית ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ Judah, and build the house
of the LORD God of Israel,

(he [is] the God,) which [is]
and·he-shall-go-up to·Jerusalem which in·Judah and·he-shall-build » house-of Yahweh
in Jerusalem.
‫ֱ(הי‬
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫יִ ְׂש ָראֵ ל‬ ‫ֱ(הים הּוא‬
ִ ‫ָהא‬ ‫ִּבירּוׁשָ לָ ִם אֲׁשֶ ר‬ :

Elohim-of Israel he the·Elohim who in·Jerusalem

1:4 ‫ְוכָ ל‬ ‫ַהּנִ ְׁשאָ ר ־‬ ‫ִמּכָ ל‬ ‫קמ ת ־‬

ֹ ‫ַה ְּמ‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫גָר הּוא‬ ‫ׁשָ ם ־‬

And whosoever remaineth
u·kl - e·nshar m·kl - e·mqmuth ashr eua gr - shm in any place where he
and·all-of the·one-nremaining from·all-of the·placesri which he sojourning there sojourneth, let the men of
his place help him with
‫יְ נ ְַּׂשאּוהּו‬ ‫אַ נְ ׁשֵ י‬ ‫קמ‬
ֹ ‫ְמ‬ ‫ְּבכֶ ֶסף‬ ‫ָהב‬
ָ ‫ּובז‬
ְ ‫ּוב ְרכּוׁש‬
ִ ‫ּוב ְב ֵה ָמה‬
ִ silver, and with gold, and
with goods, and with beasts,
inshau·eu anshi mqm·u b·ksph u·b·zeb u·b·rkush u·b·beme
beside the freewill offering
they-shall-massist·him mortals-of placeri-of·him in·silver and·in·gold and·in·goods and·in·beast
for the house of God that
[is] in Jerusalem.
‫ִעם‬ ‫ַהּנְ ָד ָבה ־‬ ‫ְל ֵבית‬ ‫ֱ(הים‬
ִ ‫ָהא‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ִּבירּוׁשָ לָ ִם‬ :

with the·voluntary-offering for·house-of the·Elohim which in·Jerusalem

1:5 ‫ַוּיָקּומּו‬ ‫ָראׁשֵ י‬ ‫ָהאָ ב ת‬ ‫יהּודה‬

ָ ‫ִל‬ ‫ּובנְ י ִָמן‬
ִ ‫ּכהֲנִ ים‬
ֹ ‫ְו ַה‬

. Then rose up the chief of
u·iqumu rashi e·abuth l·ieude u·bnimn u·e·kenim the fathers of Judah and
and·they-are-arising heads-of the·fathers to·Judah and·Benjamin and·the·priests Benjamin, and the priests,
and the Levites, with all
‫ְו ַה ְל ִוּיִ ם‬ ‫ְלכֹל‬ ‫ֵה ִעיר‬ ‫ֱ(הים‬
ִ ‫ָהא‬ ‫רּוח ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫לַ עֲל ת‬ [them] whose spirit God
had raised, to go up to build

the house of the LORD
and·the·Levites to·everyone he-croused the·Elohim » spirit-of·him to·to-go-up-of
which [is] in Jerusalem.

ֶ ‫יד‬
ֵ ‫ִב‬ ‫ִּב ְכלֵ י‬ ‫כֶ ֶסף ־‬

And all they that [were]
u·kl - sbibthi·em chzqu b·idi·em b·kli - ksph about them strengthened
and·all-of round-about·them they-mencouraged in·hands-of·them in·articles-of silver their hands with vessels of
silver, with gold, with
‫ָהב‬
ָ ‫ַּבּז‬ ‫ָּב ְרכּוׁש‬ ‫ּוב ְּב ֵה ָמה‬
ַ ‫ּוב ִּמגְ ָּדנ ת‬
ַ ‫ְל ַבד‬ ‫ּכָ ל ־ עַ ל‬ ‫־‬ goods, and with beasts, and
with precious things, beside
b·zeb b·rkush u·b·beme u·b·mgdnuth l·bd ol - kl -
all [that] was willingly
in·the·gold in·the·goods and·in·the·beast and·in·the·token-presents to·aside-of on all-of
offered.

‫ה ִציא‬ ‫נְ בּוכַ ְדנֶּצַ ר‬ ‫ִמירּוׁשָ לַ ִם‬ ‫וַּיִ ְּתנֵם‬ ‫ְּב ֵבית‬ ‫ֱ(היו‬
ָ ‫א‬ : brought forth out of
eutzia nbukdntzr m·irushlm u·ithn·m b·bith alei·u : Jerusalem, and had put
he-cbrought-forth Nebuchadnezzar from·Jerusalem and·he-is-giving·them in·house-of Elohim-of·him them in the house of his
gods;
1:8 ‫וַּי ִציאֵ ם‬ ‫ּכ ֶרׁש‬  ֶ‫ֶמל‬ ‫ּפָ ַרס‬ ‫יַד ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ִמ ְת ְר ָדת‬ 8
Even those did Cyrus king

and·he-is-cbringing-forth·them Cyrus king-of Persia on hand-of Mithredath hand of Mithredath the
treasurer, and numbered
‫ַהּגִ זְ ָּבר‬ ‫וַּיִ ְס ְּפ ֵרם‬ ‫ְלׁשֵ ְׁש ַּבּצַ ר‬ ‫ַהּנ ִָׂשיא‬ ‫יהּודה‬
ָ ‫ִל‬ : them unto Sheshbazzar, the
e·gzbr u·isphr·m l·shshbtzr e·nshia l·ieude : prince of Judah.
the·finance-minister and·he-is-numbering·them to·Sheshbazzar the·prince to·Judah

1:9 ‫ְואֵ ּלֶ ה‬ ‫ִמ ְסּפָ ָרם‬ ‫אג ְַר ְטלֵ י‬

ֲ ‫ָהב‬
ָ ‫ז‬ ‫(ׁשים‬
ִ ‫ְׁש‬ ‫אג ְַר ְטלֵ י‬
ֲ ‫כֶ ֶסף ־‬ ‫אָ לֶ ף‬ ‫ַמחֲלָ ִפים‬

And this [is] the number
u·ale msphr·m agrtli zeb shlshim agrtli - ksph alph mchlphim of them: thirty chargers of
and·these number-of·them chargers-of gold thirty chargers-of silver thousand alternatives gold, a thousand chargers of
silver, nine and twenty
‫ִּת ְׁשעָ ה‬ ‫ְועֶ ְׂש ִרים‬ : ‫ס‬ knives,

1:10 ‫ְּכפ ֵרי‬ ‫ָהב‬

ָ ‫ז‬ ‫(ׁשים‬
ִ ‫ְׁש‬ ‫ְּכפ ֵרי‬ ‫כֶ ֶסף‬ ‫ִמ ְׁשנִ ים‬ ‫אַ ְר ַּבע‬ ‫ֵמא ת‬

Thirty basons of gold,
kphuri zeb shlshim kphuri ksph mshnim arbo mauth silver basons of a second
sheltered-bowls-of gold thirty sheltered-bowls-of silver ones-duplicated four-of hundreds [sort] four hundred and ten,
[and] other vessels a
‫ַועֲׂשָ ָרה‬ ‫ּכֵ ִלים‬ ‫ֲח ִרים‬
ֵ ‫א‬ ‫אָ לֶ ף‬ : ‫ס‬ thousand.

ֲ ‫אֲלָ ִפים‬ ‫ְואַ ְר ַּבע‬ ‫ֵמא ת‬

All the vessels of gold
kl - klim l·zeb u·l·ksph chmshth alphim u·arbo mauth and of silver [were] five
all-of articles to·the·gold and·to·the·silver five-of thousands and·four-of hundreds thousand and four hundred.
All [these] did Sheshbazzar
‫ַהּכֹל‬ ‫ֶהעֱלָ ה‬ ‫ׁשֵ ְׁש ַּבּצַ ר‬ ‫ִעם‬ ‫ֵהעָ ל ת‬ ‫ַהּג לָ ה‬ ‫ִמ ָּב ֶבל‬ bring up with [them of] the
captivity that were brought

up from Babylon unto
the·all he-cbrought-up Sheshbazzar with to-nbring-up-of the·deportation from·Babylon
Jerusalem.
