OPM50M Ports
This section describes ports at the bottom and in the cabling cavity of the OPM50M as well
as the OPM50M's indicator.
Figure 1 shows ports on the OPM50M.

Alarm Cable for the OPM50M
An alarm cable for the OPM50M is used either for connecting an OPM50M and a BBU3910A
or RRU or for connecting two OPM50Ms.
An alarm cable for the OPM50M connects the OPM50M and a BBU3910A or RRU to provide
power-off alarm signals and report alarms. An alarm cable for the OPM50M is 5 m (16.4 ft)
long.
When a common RRU (FDD), or blade RRU (FDD/TDD), or BBU3910A is used together with
the OPM50M, one end of the alarm cable for an OPM50M is an RJ45 connector, and the
other end of the alarm cable is a waterproof DB15 male connector, as shown by illustration 1
in the following figure.
When a common RRU (TDD) is used together with the OPM50M, one end of the alarm cable
for an OPM50M is an RJ45 connector, and the other end of the alarm cable is a waterproof
DB9 male connector, as shown by illustration 2 in the following figure.

An OPM50M external monitoring cable has bare wires at one end and a DB15 waterproof
male connector at the other end, as shown in Figure 1.

NOTE:
• When the load is 3000 W, the input voltage is 220 V, and the power cable with a cross-
sectional area of 2.5 mm2 (0.004 in.2) is used, it is recommended that the length of the
power cable be kept within 100 m (328.08 ft). When the conditions are different, the
recommended maximum length needs to be determined according to the actual
situation.
• If an AC surge protection box must to be installed in outdoor scenarios.
• A 3-pin round waterproof connector needs to be added to one end of the AC power
cable for the OPM50M onsite.
The following figure shows a power cable that is used to connect an OPM50M and external
equipment when an AC surge protection box is not configured.
